It all starts, when Shouta Aizawa finds a young boy dying on the streets. As the police rush to find the boy's attacker, Shouta suddenly finds himself in a position to care for a child who is scared, traumatized and in desperate need of a parental figure. It’s only temporary he tells himself. At least, that’s the plan.
As each new turn in the investigation continues to add complication after complication, Shouta finds himself increasingly concerned for his young charge – and unwilling to give up a responsibility he wasn’t sure he wanted in the first place.

Midoriya Izuku was fully prepared to die. He jumped off that building, and in that moment he was Icarus. Flying, flying, flying to the sun. And then came the fall.
A smile was still on his face, it always was now-a-days, but here, in the moment of embracing death, it was real. He didn't care that he was falling, about to crash into the ground and die. All that mattered was that he flew.
Suffice to say he didn't die.Or~
Midoriya Izuku's suicide attempt failed, he became the infamous vigilante Icarus, met Nedzu, and goes to UA to cause chaos. More or less.Note! This is entirely self fulfilling and will likely have random updates. This is my first BNHA fic, so I'm sorry if I get anything wrong, please correct me polity in the comments. Also, instead of All Might crushing Izuku's dreams at 15, it happened when he was 12.

Izuku Midoriya is unlucky, to say the least and life hasn't exactly been kind. Things weren't so bad in the beginning, but once he was diagnosed quirkless, well, it all went to shit. Everyone grew to hate him, even his best friend and own father.
Was it really that impossible to become a hero without a quirk? It doesn't really matter because to Izuku, the term hero is flexible. He'll be his own hero because he's learnt from his own experience, people are selfish and the only one he can rely on is himself.
Left alone to fend for himself in the world, Izuku goes out to change things on his own terms, despite his methods being slightly illegal. Keyword, slightly. It's only illegal if he gets caught, right?

Summary
Katsuki was raised on the belief that one has to be the strongest to make it in this world. Other people are a waste of time, minor distractions, focus should be left to being the best at whatever he does. The violence at home shaped him into more than a beast than a person, relying on his instincts and others' fear to make it by. Weakness was to be eliminated by all means necessary.
He makes his way through life like a meteor, burning through obstacles and landing himself a place at an esteemed Police Academy. He only realizes the consequences of living the way he has when an incident leaves him powerless, something he hadn't thought possible, and begins the painful journey towards recovery.
Izuku was raised on the belief that no matter what he did, it would never amount to anything. His mother never believed in him, his father out of the picture, the only person who believed in him was himself.
A victim of bullying, life took its time tearing apart his dreams, his hope, until he was left with nothing. He hides away at home, taking better care of his potted plants than himself. After an incident he begins seeing a therapist, and bumps into a childhood friend he thought he'd never see again.

Yet they both continued living their lives, Izuku now owned his own flower shop, while Katsuki became the pro hero he always said he would become, everything was great for Katsuki, while for Izuku, he was just glad he was doing something after high school.
Although that day still lingered in their minds, Katsuki hoped to see Izuku again just to apologize for everything however, Izuku didn't want to see Katsuki anymore as he feared what would happen to him if he did.
They thought they wouldn't see each other for a long time, but when someone accidentally makes them see each other again, everything begins to change for them.

He bit his lip, waiting anxiously for an answer; he didn't want to seem forward- he wouldn't be able to pull it off. He's not Kacchan, he's not amazing at everything.
"It's okay." A short pause, then a chuckle. "I was just about to ask you myself, you know."
He was always usually so angry, with his signature frown and husky tone. But in Izuku's presence, he was happier, softer, kinder. And it made Izuku smile, to know he had that effect on the older male.
"Really? Then, can we..?"
Izuku Midoriya took a deep breath and smiled up at Kacchan. Katsuki Bakugou. His childhood friend, who had left twelve years ago, when Izuku was seven. He was back, and Izuku was over the moon.
"Yeah. Let's."
The blond glanced down, and he let a small smile grace his face. Kacchan held out his hand and Izuku took it, the feeling of elation swelling within him when Katsuki glanced over his shoulder and chuckled.

Summary
After being captured by All for One and given to the Doctor, there is very little that Izuku can trust anymore. Not his body, not his loved ones, and certainly not his mind. There isn't a single aspect of himself that hasn't been violated and altered. He does his best not to let them break him, but there are some things that even he can't smile through. Eventually, he doesn't have the awareness to care anymore.
When he is finally rescued, he's barely a shell of his former self. There's no laughter, no mumbling, no conviction, only blank stares and feeble responses. Despite what they are told, his classmates are determined to bring him back.
“Hello all,” Mrs. Midoriya managed a small wave. “It’s nice to see you here, but I thought Izuku couldn’t have visitors other than family come through this door.”
“He can’t.” Todoroki confirmed with a nod from the others. “That’s why we entered through a window instead.”
