Adora kissed her nose and brought her hands up to rest against Catra’s cheeks. She stroked Catra’s ears, which twitched under her touch. The barest hint of a purr reached Adora’s ears.
“You act like you're never going to see me again.”
“No,” Catra protested, leaning into the touch. “I'm acting like I want you to spend the night with me. But… if you have to go, at least kiss me goodbye?”

Adora glances at the clock on the left side of her computer screen. It’s 3:05 in the morning here, which means 9 AM on her end. She can’t pinpoint exactly when this habit started, but the time conversion happens spontaneously in her brain now, without her even noticing that she’s doing it anymore.
Hands on the keyboard, she licks her lips like she's just been caught.

There’s not a body. It would be unnerving, if Glimmer weren’t already used to mourning somebody without a grave. The closest thing they have now is an ice sculpture Frosta made for She-Ra, standing in the garden, tall and preserved. A princess, a story, a legend.

"She-Ra is gone," should have been a statement that ended the war. It should have been a victory. For bitter months, there was nothing Catra had wanted more than to get rid of She-Ra for good, she just wanted Adora to come back home. Adora herself wasn't supposed to disappear in the process.
