Summary
The pinprick of Ryland's touch retreats, only to be replaced by the press of his lips against the same spot, lingering there for a moment before dragging across his skin and dipping into the valley of his spine. Casey's breath leaves him all at once— he's still trying to understand what it means to be touched without flinching.
OR: In the early days of their relationship, Casey struggles to overcome a litany of old demons. Ryland is there to help.

Summary
It's a new life that he sees, so different from all the ones that have come before it. More than just an existence. The void that had once defined him filled with the light of Ryland's smile, with the knowledge of having something to come back to— a yellow raincoat on the back of the door to hang his jacket up beside.
Shoes beside the door, toothbrushes on the sink; so much comes in twos, these days.
OR: Casey and Ryland start to build a life together, but no matter how fast they run, neither of them can escape the past.

Summary
“Ryland,” Simon murmurs eventually, drawing him out with a coaxing hand at the nape of his neck. His palm slides around to support Grace's jaw as he reluctantly lifts his head, exhausted. “Are you okay?”
“Yeah, I'm fine.”
Simon's mouth presses into a thin line, his frown deepening. “You're a bad liar.”
OR: A reminder of Simon's mortality opens old wounds, and sets Grace onto a spiral he can't escape from. Falling into old habits, he tries and fails to solve his issues, pushing those around him away in the process. Healing is not linear— Grace contends with the idea that he's been broken since the start.

Summary
If he drives fast enough, steady enough, he thinks that maybe he could outrun the tilt of the Earth, that he could suspend them somewhere between seconds, somewhere all for them.
It's a childish want, a desperate one, but one he can't shake. Admittedly, he doesn't try very hard to. Casey wants it so much his teeth ache.
OR: Things have shifted between Ryland and Casey, but as the days press on, the real world begins for loom around them once more. The undefined nature of their relationship comes back to bite them both, and in the dying days of summer, they're forced to make a choice.

Summary
“Where are you going?” Grace asks, it takes a while to work up the nerve to.
“Nowhere.”
“Huh, guess that makes two of us,” he says, turning to meet Driver's gaze head-on. “I'll race you.”
Driver's mouth twitches, still not quite a smile. “You'll lose.”
OR: After Denmark, Grace's life is in tatters. Alone, with no direction or plan, he runs away. On the road, he meets a quiet stranger and, against his better judgement, allows himself to be seen, and finds something he'd long since given up on ever feeling again.

Summary
heartmoor:
n. the primal longing for a home village to return to, a place that no longer exists, if it ever did.
Ryland and Casey meet out on the road and build a life together. It's never easy— even less so when Grace's brothers come back into the picture.

Summary
"I find you attractive, you find me attractive. I don’t like you, you don’t like me, so we don’t need to pretend this is anything other than scratching an itch one time. And…I’m very good. You won’t be disappointed.”
For a long moment, Sebastian is silent. Those twin eyebrow creases had grown deeper the longer Jacob spoke, once he realized how dead serious Jacob was. Finally, he says through gritted teeth, “I don’t find you attractive.”
Jacob rolls his eyes. “Sebastian, don’t say no based on a lie. If you want to say no, then say no, but don’t lie about it.”
Sebastian has an old problem, and Jacob gets a new neighbor.
