Summary
The hunt for the Legendary Wolf at Cotorra Springs doesn't go exactly as planned, and Arthur Morgan nearly dies trying to get back to the gang's camp. After the gang nurses him back to health and he sells the hard-won wolf's pelt, he thinks that's the end of it. But strange things have been happening to him since the attack, and he can only go so long ignoring them before things come to a head. Will Arthur succumb to the monster he thinks he is, in more ways than one?
Werewolf Arthur Morgan AU, because it's a fascinating concept and I don't think there's enough of it out there. Follows canon to a point; eventual endgame Arthur/Charles but the romance isn't the primary focus.

Summary
It is strange, to go to sleep as one person only to wake as another. He opens his eyes, and feels his limbs stay the same shape, the same length. He feels his eyes dry the moment they meet air, requiring him to blink, the same way he'd blinked a billion times before. His name, too, is still his: Will Graham. He wakes today, like would any other day. However similar to yesterday he might feel, though, he is now different. New. The only one God hears, the only one worthy of His response. His image. His design.
Or: everything stays more or less the same except Hannibal is a priest, and Will accidentally becomes known worldwide as a saint and a prophet. Is it coincidence, or is it really the hand of God? Maybe, God is simply much closer, than Will anticipated...
I am a big enjoyer of religious symbolism and influence. The force of it, the beauty and the harm it causes. So, here goes just that!

Hannibal was never going to name a child after his late sister but children apparently come at you hard and fast and when he saw her in the hospital the as a red in the face infant, he knew she was not half of his own soul and his previous partner’s—That was his Mischa, right back in his arms, where she belonged.

Will Graham's daemon is unsettled, unspeaking, and halfway to feral, but if she's broken then isn't that because he is? She's a piece of him, and he's very certain that all of his madness hasn't been neatly excised into her body alone. She's made out of him, or he out of her; it's the same thing.
