Deku is older now. He's no longer the kid with hope and light in his eyes. He's depressed and has very little regard for himself. After countless battles and wars fought over the years, Izuku found that he no longer liked being a hero. He and old high school classmates hadn't seen each other in years. Most of them doing missions outside of Japan. Izuku was the only one out of his class that stayed.

Bakugo hates wanting things. But he hates needing things more.
He’s never really been touchy. By the time he was seven he ‘hated’ when his mother held his hand to cross the road. And he never left any of his lackies put an arm around him for too long. If ever.
He would wriggle out of his father’s hugs like a volatile cat.
But today, Bakugo wakes from a dream he can’t quite remember. All he’s left with is a strange sinking feeling in his stomach and a deep set chill that makes him shiver.
I want to see Izuku…
It’s the first words in his mind. And it scares him, the desperate tinge to it. (or as much as possible, considering he said it in his mind for fuck’s sake.)
He’s dating the guy. They’ve held hands. And they’ve kissed. All the time, honestly. But Bakugo doesn’t ever let himself get fully into it. Doesn’t let Izuku tell his friends about them…
And he’s not sure he’s ready to think about his reason why.
When he sits up, he realizes that he kicked the blankets off in his sleep.
