Summary
The Ten Worlds lost access to Sol just over fifty years ago. The scattered colonies of mankind have managed to scrape by and fend for themselves without the economic support, and have by and large moved on. But it's a fragile balance, and too strong a push could topple the house of cards and leave all that's left of humanity to die. They aren't prepared for the jump links connecting known space back to Sol reopening - and even less prepared when the Earth they find on the other side isn't the same Earth that it used to be...
With Team RWBY's reemergence from the Ever After and the evacuation of the people of Atlas to Vacuo, the war between Salem and humanity enters its deciding stages. Only one of the Relics remains firmly within the hands of the allied forces as Salem prepares one final assault. But when the night sky changes beyond recognition and people from other worlds descend from the heavens, both sides will be forced to confront the opportunities and threats of a whole new frontier.

“Hey, babe. Been looking everywhere for you.”
The voice was low, honeyed, warm in all the right places. It fell over Rumi in a way the man’s voice hadn’t, settling into her bones and gnawing faintly, already leaving impressions on her marrow.
And yet another touch, this one lighter, a palm splayed across the small of her back, a second body pressing into hers from behind.
“Yeah, we thought we lost you for a sec there.” This voice, a little higher, but no less deadly.
Not one, but two strangers.
“Can’t you see you’re interrupting something?” the guy snapped at them.
“Can’t you see,” the first voice mocked, “she’s not yours?”
OR
Two women step in when a guy gets pushy with Rumi at a bar. What happens after is meant to be a one-night stand, nothing more.
But rarely do things turn out exactly the way they're meant to.

"You okay, jagiya?" Zoey asked. "You're all—" She gestured her hand at Rumi's form. "Glowy... you know?"
Rumi looked down at herself and sure enough, faint pink lines were pulsing softly beneath the fabric of her hoodie.
She yanked the blanket higher, her cheeks burning. “I—yeah. I’m fine. Just… thinking.”
Mira set her book aside completely, giving Rumi her full attention. She reached over—slow enough that Rumi could pull away if she wanted—and tucked a stray strand of hair behind her ear. “Don’t think I haven’t caught you staring at us like we’re some math problem for the last twenty minutes, Ru.”
Rumi’s mouth opened. Closed. Then opened again.
The words stuck in her throat like thorns.
I’m scared that I’ll be bad at this. I’m scared that you’ll get tired of having to do everything. I’m scared that because I’ve never done anything like this before, you’re going to be disappointed in me…
She squeezed her eyes shut before blurting out in one breath—
“I don’t know how to make you come—!”
Silence.
Rumi wanted to die.
Or, Rumi doesn't know how to pleasure her girlfriends, so she gets a hands-on lesson.

The vampire looked down slowly at the mess on her clothes, then back up.Rumi’s heart slammed against her ribs like it wanted out.
“You’ve got to be fucking kidding me,” the girl said, her voice cold and flat.
Rumi stepped forward without thinking, pressing the flimsy paper napkin against the slick black leather covered in her lunch.
“I—I’m so sorry,” she stammered, every syllable tripping over the last. “I didn’t mean—I wasn’t looking and—”
“You didn’t mean to walk straight?” the vampire snapped, voice slicing clean through her apology. “Or use eyes that work?”
Up close, the vampire’s presence hit like a cold front.
Terrifying, her instincts offered.
Beautiful, her brain added unhelpfully.
And here she was… rubbing at her chest.
The motion was clumsy and awkward—her brain screaming at her to help clean while her hands were busy doing exactly the kind of contact you’d never want to initiate with a stranger.
