Ilya should be exhausted. Between the jet lag, the excitement of the draft, the humiliation of being called “lazy” by his own father in front of the fucking GM of the Boston Raiders, and countless interviews and photo ops, capped off by a hard ride on the spin bike well after midnight, he should be crashing right about now. He should be. But he’s not. His whole body feels like one big live wire, like the slightest touch will spark a blaze in him.
How strange and curious that this feeling should be awoken in him by none other than Shane Hollander.
