Summary
The guy’s fingers vanish under Felix’s skirt, and Chan sees the way Felix’s lips curl as he gasps. Chan’s blood boils, and his body is moving on its own accord.
He surges forward, pushing his way into the crowd to get to Felix, uncaring who he bumps into or whose drunk he spills. With his mouse ears, he probably looks ridiculous, but he doesn’t care. His hand finds Felix’s arm, wrapping around it in a tight grip. He yanks Felix away mid-kiss.
“Chan—?” Felix questions with a surprised giggle.
Rather than responding, Chan hauls him off to the staircase. One of the guys Felix was with protests, but Chan doesn’t bother turning back to respond, and the guy fortunately doesn’t follow them up.
Felix twists his arm in Chan’s hold, but he isn’t really fighting it. “Wha— Channie, c’mon, what’s this?” He laughs, lightly swatting at Chan. When he doesn’t get a response, he goes quiet. “You’re no fun tonight… Thought you liked my costume, saw you lookin.'"
“Shut up, Lix,” Chan gets out through gritted teeth.
Felix wants to be a little slut at Chan’s Halloween party? That’s fine, but he better be ready to face the consequences.

The girls pull back slowly, both breathing hard.
"That was really good," Chan says. "You two are so pretty, you know that?"
Lixie's eyes widen. Chan's told her before, and just like that time, she blushes, trying unsuccessfully to hold back her smile. "You… You really think I'm pretty?"
Beside her, Jisun chews on her lip, looking similarly flustered and pleased. "You think we're pretty?"
"Yeah, of course," Chan answers honestly. "Both of you are really pretty, the prettiest girls in town, everyone knows that."
Still stroking himself in his pants, Minho nods. "You're both beautiful. Honestly… it's really hot watching two girls as pretty as you make out like that."
Chan would never dare to use the word 'hot' in Lixie's presence, but the girls' faces instantly light up.
"Hot? You think we're hot?" Lixie asks, giggling.
Jisun giggles too. "No one's ever called us hot before…"
That's because Minho's the only person brave enough.
Lixie has a crush on Chan. Jisun has a crush on Minho. They're inexperienced but love attention.

A big brown blur catches Chris's attention, and he directs his binoculars to the rocks at the base of the cliffs near the end of Tyndall.
"Oh no fucking way," he hisses, putting the field tube down and practically ripping his phone from the mount. He grabs for the work phone on the dashboard, dialing Kai's number. "Not this fucking guy again."
"What is it Chris?" Sam asks, worry coating his tone. He grabs for the field tube as well, mounting his own phone to look near the cliffs. "Is someone in trouble?"
"No, but we're about to be." Chris grumbles. He picks his phone back up, shooting a text to his boss Matthew at the Department of Natural Resources and Environment.
"What is it?" Sam asks, still trying to get the field tube to focus.
"Fuckin Neil the Seal!" Chris groans.
If this mammal ruins his plans to have a perfect off-season with Felix, Chris will be this elephant's seal worst nightmare.

Felix inhales sharply as his pulse jumps. Hyunjin’s head whirls around, eyes wide as he meets Chan's gaze. Felix can hear his own heartbeat in his ears.
“Wh– what?” Hyunjin whispers, finally letting himself look at Felix. He can't interpret what he sees in his best friend's eyes, but he hopes his own sudden anticipation isn't too apparent. “Felix?”
He releases a measured breath, praying it doesn't seem too jittery as he shrugs haphazardly. “Sure. I mean, why not? We never- uh, we've never done that, but. We're best friends, right? What. What could go wrong?”
