Summary
The Enterprise has been tasked with convincing an alien race to join the Federation, but Jim isn't having much luck persuading them. When they insist that a ritual to reveal one's true self is the only way to gain their trust, Leonard volunteers. It's better than watching Jim or Spock risk themselves, but he could never have predicted the consequences.
OR
Leonard gets high on an alien ritual drink, has to suffer through withdrawal on the shuttle ride home, and then, to make matters even worse, has to apologize to Spock.

Gerry had known he was sick for a long time. He didn't know exactly what was wrong, but he knew he certainly wasn't healthy. He was rapidly losing weight, unable to keep down any food. He would be up for hours in the night, vomiting in their motel rooms across the globe. He would stumble and feel dizzy, usually claiming it was The Vast playing tricks whenever Gertrude noticed. His vision would double, which he claimed was The Eye. These lies worked for a good long while, until his seizure.

It's been a long day for Oz.
For one, his mom's back problems had flared up again sometime in the night, meaning, with his van in the shop for repairs (stakes to the oil tube will do that), he was forced to walk to school. For another, his stomach contents were all trying in vain to escape his body through any means necessary, his brain was playing a sick riff on his nerves, and his usual alone time during transformations was being invaded by research on a new freaky spider-demon.
Not to mention they were getting their English papers back today and he'd totally phoned it in.
It's been a long day for Oz.

Summary
Roy has lost all sensation in the side of his body that Dick has been carting around for the last… however long. He’s stopped being able to feel the dripping of blood down the inside of his suit. The prosthetic arm, with its wires connected to his nervous system, has stopped screaming at him the way it’d done when it’d first been ripped off (he’ll really need to speak with Vic about that on. Even the ever-present, whole-body throbbing of the wound in his side has faded into the background.
But there’s something about Dick’s voice that always gets to him. Roy can do many things, but it seems that disobeying a direct order from his fearless leader is one of the more difficult ones.
