The war is over, the reapers have been destroyed two years ago. Lydia Shepard has survived.
Politics don't rest because it's the time of rebuilding, and so Shepard is invited to a funeral she didn't want to attend to - the deceased one wasn't close to her heart, and she hates prestigious events for show.
Fortunately, Garrus is with her, unfortunately, he makes it even harder for her to focus on the solemn ceremony.There certainly are more fun things to do for the heroic couple than being bored in a church, now Shepard only has to convince Garrus to join her for some inappropriate activities.

Humanity is just now being accepted as a Citadel race. Shepard is nominated for Spectre. But never told of the requirements.
The only thing she knew was that Spectres were not trained only chosen, they were beings forged in the fires of battle, or at least that's part of what the pompous bastards spouted in the data file that was sent to the Systems Alliance when the humans asked to have some of their members evaluated.
The time for her mentoring is now over. She has been evaluated and recommended for acceptance as a full Spectre. Now she needs to fulfill the rest of the requirements.

Summary
So, I suck at summaries...
This is the main story of Gaien and Sterling. After the Reaper war, he's recovering, she's basically only hanging around him because she likes him. They agreed if they both survived they would date each other... however after a very short amount of time, they say to hell with it, they could have died. So they get married, and welcome to the familial life. Sterling has a large rowdy hispanic family, Gaien isn't used to anyone. Domestic life and happiness, lots of laughter and awkward moments. Meddling family tries to break them up, fails horribly. I think anyone who has read this far will get it.

Summary
A romance between a Turian and a Human.
Nellwyn Greene is a newly retired alliance biotic on the Citadel who has a thing for men with green eyes. On a night out she meets a Turian who captures her attention with his emerald green eyes and soot black plating. How do you find someone again in a place like the Citadel?
Lazzus Tarrian is probably the most unsocial Turian on the Citadel, spending most of his time working on star ships but one night he meets a woman he regrets not taking the chance to get to know. Badly scarred and more than a little scared Lazz allows her to wrap herself around his heart.
After meeting again in an unlikely place they take a chance at inter-species romance and confront all the traditional hurdles of relationships. From insecurities, hesitant dates, meeting friends and family to finding themselves in love, together they learn that most things cross species just fine.

Squads were needed, however who thought there would be a group of mismatched moronic soldiers to be lead by Kal'Reegar as a favor to Shepard and at the request of Tali. A Turian Havoc meets his match in the form of an N7 Shadow. The Chemistry out in the field definitely extends further.

Summary
Shepard is a Spectre on assignment to hunt slavers.
The crew discovers a distress beacon on a small planet. After removing the slavers that also responded to the distress call, Shepard and her crew find a young female Drell along with her bodyguard hiding in a cave. When Shepard tries to find a way down into the pit they were in, she slips and falls landing on a growth of giant flowers sending up a cloud of pollen in the air and coating her armor completely.
The young female turns out to be the daughter of the current Ariki of the Matriarchal society of Drell. Relieved to have her daughter returned safely she bestows upon Shepard a gift.

Now on her own on the Citadel she thought she had no one to turn to when threats started arriving from her ex. She was given a choice to run again or finally learn to protect herself.
Julian was at the simulation range for target practice and saw the human female several lanes over struggling to learn to use the weapon the human instructor was pushing off on her. He also noticed the way she constantly flinched when the male pressed in too close, so he took it upon himself to step in and help her.
This story takes place in an alternate universe setting, no Reapers. The characters we knew as the crew of the Normandy are just ordinary people in this story. Hope someone likes it.
