Shen Qingqiu manages to change his foretold fate by saving Liu Qingge in the Ling Xi caves. Unfortunately, the cultivation world is a lot less happy about this than Shen Qingqiu would have hoped.

This might have to do with the fact that the Liu Qingge who Shen Qingqiu saved is not quite human.

    Summary

Shen Yuan has transmigrated into a dragon. An apparently extremely wealthy dragon with his own mountain and palace and everything. Unfortunately, he runs into a problem in the form of trying to find an ethical source of labour to actually help maintain the whole palace. After several misunderstandings with the local human beings, he finally manages to clearly communicate his desires and one city provides him with a (rather scrawny and underfed) boy who most definitely agreed to the terms of employment that Shen Yuan tried to put forward!
Luo Binghe has been shoved into the clutches of a dragon without being told anything and is surely about to be eaten at any moment.

DRAGON!SY AU — SY transmigrates into Dragon!SJ. This is on of those stories where the end result of SJ is never described. It’s also non-canon compliant. So expect a full-blown AU where there are dragons and cultivators. But no Cang Qiong Sect. Just a Qing Jing Peak renowned for hosting a very scary dragon. SY fires all his employees (servants) and ends up needing to rehire — which goes splendidly. Because he manages to kidnap LBH.

THOUGHTS — This is a very wholesome Gen fic. Don’t read it do the romance. Read it for the awkward Dragon!SY, growing up Human!LBH, And Cultivator!LQG who visits sometimes because people want him to slay the dragon. Very cute very fluffy. Loved it~

“All right. I’m in Proud Immortal Demon Way," he says, once he's had a chance to compose himself again. He sits back up, tossing his stupidly long hair back over his shoulders where it belongs; he is totally calm and ready to grill the System for more information.  "Who am I supposed to be?"

Please please please don't let it be someone who Bingge violently murders.

Though given the fact that he's a man in PIDW, his chances are already skewed, and not in his favor. Ugh.

[Bound Role: Shen Yuan, Rogue Cultivator. Weapon: the sword Heng Li. Starting B-points: 100.]

or: Shen Yuan transmigrates as a rogue cultivator, one completely unconnected to any canon characters or events. Right, System? Right?

AU SHEN BROS —SY transmigrates early as the twin brother of SQQ!SJ. But he doesn’t know it. The story begins after SY suffered a mind wipe (unknown to him) dressed as a Qi Deviation. He forgets everything and thought he just transmigrated into a random NPC. He finds out that is far from the truth not long after when he discovers an identical SJ!SQQ hunting the skinner demon. From then on? He was chucked into the heart of the story — becoming the Master of young LBH and uncovering the mysteries of the PIDW outlined by SQH.

THOUGHTS — Great story, but it’s far from finished. It’s highly slow paced actually. Customer spends a lot of time setting up characters. Which is lovely. I appreciated that a lot. I’m looking forward to upcoming updates~

ALTERNATE UNIVERSE — SY transmigrates into PIDW as GYX without a system. He’s been there for a while but definitely not before the Immortal Alliance Conference. He’s confronted with a scheming and powerful Bingge fresh from the Abyss and Demon Realm. The POV of this story though is LBH’s — who is very confused about the way GYX breaks him apart a bit at a time by being typical SY (self-sacrificing and full of clever ideas that lead to countless misunderstandings).

THOUGHTS — I knew I was going to like this novel but I liked it even more than I expected. I got to see a fresh Huan Hua, and although GYX is more SY than GYX — I got to know this beautiful character through his interpretation as well. All in all? Def a fave for me.

It's bad enough when Shen Yuan dies. It's even worse when he transmigrates into the worst horror game inspired by Proud Immortal Demon Way that could ever be imagined. But nothing is more terrible than transmigrating as the scum villain Shen Qingqiu, the character with the most violent and grotesque deaths the game has to offer!

Couldn't he have transmigrated into the stallion novel instead? At least there his character would only have to die once!

Now Shen Yuan has to navigate his new life as Shen Qingqiu while trying to keep not only himself alive, but also a cast of characters, each more suicidal than the next. A goal he is going to fail. A lot. Many times. Too many times!

At least he can spend some time with his favorite character Luo Binghe while stuck in this mess.

    Summary

Shen Yuan trasmigrate into a new born demonic dragon.

He’s egg actually appeared in Wife-Plot n 888. He was a dragon egg that was found with Xin Mo and afterwards gifted to Wife 888, a priest of Dragons that exists no more after the Wars with Heavenly Demons and Dragons.

Shen Yuan thought that the egg had so much potential, but obviously the good plot was forsaken for the papapa with the beautiful priest.
So, the never born egg actually hatched and snatched the System from the chariot of fate. It became SY’s ally and companion that will help him to live an easy life.

He actually had lived a easy life for centuries: he founded a city, adopted some cuties, took care of some world ending problems, made powerful friends, had some sexual revelations and when he was bored he just wiped out his memories and began from zero.

Before the beginning of the PIDW he became a young disciple of Qing Jing Peak so he could observe the events from there, but he accidentally forgot the timeline and some names.

He eventually met some cute disciples that would change his life.

He faked a death, picked up other disciples and fallen in love with the wrong person that was not his destiny.

After being turned away by the nice Shizun of that other world, Luo Binghe finds himself in the modern world where he can find a new nice Shizun for himself. Instead, he finds Shen Yuan, who could not possibly be who he's searching for - he's crass, and inelegant, and looks only vaguely related to Shen Qingqiu.

Luckily for both of them, Shen Yuan mistakes Luo Binghe as a cosplayer for hire, and asks to rent him out as his very normal new boyfriend.

MODERN!AU — Bingge in modern times. SY sees the most. Perfect LBH costlier and then decides… wtf I’m going to rent him as a boyfriend (because why not? — that’s right there’s a very existential reason he does but we all know it’s because he’s obsessed with LBH). Still not gay tho, he thinks. We have SY reaching LBH how to be a loveable human. They spend a long time trying to find the man LBH came fo this world find. But our protagonist falls in love — and stays in love — not realizing that the man he had been looking for had been in front of him all along (best part — ABSOLUTE CHEFS KISS).

THOUGHTS — I love modern Bingge fics and this one was absolutely beautiful. It’s certainly a fave for me — I’ll be sure to remember it forever. Sweet and so so lovely’s worth the investments

Shen Yuan transmigrates during the previous generation of Cang Qiong, and despite being totally mediocre (or so he thinks) he ends up becoming the Head Disciple of Qing Jing Peak. Shen Yuan decides to try and live his life to the best of his ability, avoid the scum villain when he makes his inevitable appearance, and grow stronger so he can stay alive long enough to be able to see his favourite protagonist in the flesh - and then escape so he's not killed when Luo Binghe takes over the world.

But, of course, the plot has got to plot, and nothing ever goes according to plan.

ALTERNATE UNIVERSE (NOT-SQQ!SY) -- Sy travels into the body of a sickly Cang Qiong disciple (from the previous generations). He joins Qing Jin peak earlier than SJ and befriends all the head disciples (future peak lords). This includes SJ too, who he picks up and helps undergo villain rehabilation lolol. The two become as close as brothers, living in a world that SY is desperate to fix and make a happier place. He succeeds, although he has to do a lot of self-sacrificing in the process. A big chunk of this story starts pre-canon, but LBH's growth factors largely in the second half.

THOUGHTS -- An absolute fave now that I've found it. I read the whole thing and enjoyed each part. It's nice to see such a happy world, but even nicer that the author developed such a world slowly and with realism. The foundation of the story is strong as well. Beautiful worldbuilding -- and even mor beauitful character development. I'm sure I won't forget this! Glad I was able to find it.

    Summary

Another Luo Binghe suddenly appeared and Liu Qingge died trying to save Shen Qingqiu, only to find himself waking up in a strange room full of strange things.
Losing his ‘apartment’? Cheating girlfriend kicking him to the curb for a rich ‘fuerdai’ after stealing all his money? What’s a ‘dogblood drama’? He doesn’t care about any of that! What happened to Shen Qingqiu?!
    ---
Basically, LQG gets transmigrated into a dogblood drama (the "dog-biting-dog" style melodramatic soap operas, hence "dogblood"), but just wants to cultivate and live happily with SY. If only these damn characters would get a hint and stop trying to drag him back into the plot!
Meanwhile, after being forcefully repatriated, SY uses all his superpowers as an avid trashy web-novel reader to try to predict what will happen and protect LQG from all the shitty tropes while also dealing with the realization that there’s been cultivation in the modern world this whole time!

Not to mention the familiar-but-different faces popping up here and there…

After some investigating, it seems he’d lucked out even further; he doesn’t have some shitty System telling him what to do! Those things are always so annoying in isekai stories—restricting the transmigrator’s actions, punishing them for doing something ‘wrong,’ etc, etc. He’d probably tear his own hair out if he had to deal with one!

…Then again, it would be nice if some sort of pop-up could just tell him, real quick, where the hell he is. What world is this?

CANON DIVERGENCE -- Some drama is avoided after SY comes back in the plantzun body without any memories. He has no reason to stay away from Binghe, at least nothing too pressing once the two are able to talk cordially (who could keep SY away from a fully grown LBH being his heavenly demon lord??? lolol). And so the story goes. Things are resolved through dreams this time. The protagonist's high IQ connects everything slowly, and things are far less angsty than it sounds!

THOUGHTS -- Great read~ I love the idea of a pretty plantzun walking into LBH's orbit even though he has no memories. It's lovely~

CNON DIVERGENCE as Everything in canon stays the sameBUTz before Bingmei can get back from the abyss x a Bingge who head rin into a Bingmei and SY comes to kidnap the would be bride LOLOL x he brings his new Shizun to his own world and proceeds to woo him for a year. Initially insert the premise that Bingge is SYms disciples Bingge also does gods work here by tackling the impossible problem that is the system.

THOUGHTS — Honestly a better read than what I was expecting. I was originally hesitant about this because I get it was all so unfair of Bingmei. But the author doesn’t actually address that much until the en aaand leaves the Bingmei factor as an open endings which I think worked it for the best. I liked the character develop here and the meta system battle lol. Definitely definitely worth reading. And I’ll be sure to reread it again in the future x

AU - Shen Family AU. Where all of SY’s siblings end up travelling to PIDW. This does mean that more characters are raw overs as they all get fairly prominent roles (MBJ, LQG, and NYY). But it’s worth it for the fresh perspective on all these lovely peeps. I stopped reading because I’m not in the best of mood. But I enjoyed it while it laster (btw predominantly canon compliant. I think it’s meant to be more divergent post abuses but I haven’t reached that point yet.)

“In my defense,” Tianlang-jun says as he elegantly lowers himself to sit cross-legged on the floor of the Holy Mausoleum, “I’ve never brought anyone back from the dead before. As far as complications go, this is relatively manageable. Wouldn’t you agree?”

The question is directed towards a young child swimming in black robes far too elaborate and spacious for his minuscule size. The child simply blinks his big, dark eyes in response. It’s a familiar mannerism, and one that has only gotten cuter amidst accidental age regression.

Tianlang-jun brings Zhuzhi-lang back to life. It doesn't quite go as planned.

    Summary

Shen Qingqiu finds a sought-after artifact in a mission, one he cannot figure its use out — that is, until the Qing Jing Peak Lord finds himself in a cat’s body. Not knowing how to turn back to his human form and abhorring the thought of any of his martial brothers seeing him this way, Shen Qingqiu runs to the bamboo groves in hopes of figuring it out by himself, only to be found by one of his disciples, Shen Yuan, who has no clue the fluffy white cat in front of him is his dreaded Shizun.

Why Shen Yuan would vent about his life to a cat is beyond Shen Qingqiu’s understanding. Why Shen Qingqiu would keep coming back to listen is also beyond his understanding.

ALTERNATE UNIVERSE -- SY reincarnates as a newborn that looks like SQQ. He manages to find himself in Cang Qiong and becomes a Qing Jing disciple. But the story starts in SJ!SQQ pov. SJ was unexpectedly turned into a cat by an amulent. This leads him to hear a bunch of things from SY -- this listening becomes a habit. Even as SY exposes himself as someone who recalls past memories (and as SQQ's brother). Canon pretty much stays the same timeline wise. But SQQ takes an active participation in making changes. And LBH, is a mix of Bingge and Bingmei with the help of SY but with the scorn or lack of care of everyone else.

THOUGHTS -- Amazing read! I do love me a Nyanzun. And one like this set in an AU is even better. You get both SJ and SY. With strong found family and fix-it vibes witout being urnealistic or cheesy. Author did great!

    Summary

Proud Immortal Dragon Way was a book that started as a xianxia with a western-styled dragon rider twist and ended as a trashy harem novel, where the only thing being ridden was the protagonist’s heavenly *beep*. Every. Damn. Chapter. It was such a waste!

When Shen Yuan died cursing the plot, the inexperienced system assigned to his case failed to connect him to his intended role of the scum villain. Instead, he was shunted into -- what was this tight cramped darkness?? What do you mean mission: ‘Hatch Safely’!?

After breaking the shell, who wouldn’t recognize an iconic hatching scene from the book, where disciples would impress hatchlings. The kind Binghe, in the middle of his whump arc, was never allowed to partake in.

Well too bad, it was Binghe or bust! Where was the Qing Jing woodshed? Shen Yuan would drag his pathetic little newborn body as far as he needed to!

DRAGON RIDER AU — alternate universe for dragons exist. I am not everyone has one, but people in large sex are able to bond with newly hatched dragons. As my enters into a book of PIDW, that has been altered in display. Although I guess that may actually means that it was the original under story. Anyway, so he enters into his world as a baby dragon about to be hatched. He knows what’s gonna happen. In this book, the main protagonist LBH never gets a dragon out of its own. At least not one that he imprints on at a young age. This becomes one of his biggest regrets later on down the line, even though he ends up having many many female dragons that can change form later after becoming the Emperor of all three realms. SY awakens in the body of a dragon that was never meant to be born. And from now on, he persistent until he was able to bond with the young LBH. Who is just 14 years old or even last maybe. Stuck in the peak of SQQ. They suffer through a lot of bullying at first. But things do eventually get better and throw it all heat and the little protagonist have each other.

THOUGHTS — LOVE THIS AS AN AU. I APPRECIATE THE NEW SETTINGS AND THE NEW DEVELOPMENTS THAT IT BRINGS. I WISH I UNDERSTOOD THE DRAGON WRITER UNIVERSE A LITTLE BIT MORE. BECAUSE I’M SURE I MISSED A LOT OF THINGS WHILE I WAS READING THIS. Lol so I’m writing this review through speech to text. And it accidentally lashed on capitalize but I’m not gonna change that anyway where was I. So I like this fic a lot. It’s so sad that it’s not finished, but I am looking forward to more updates in the future.

"When I - when I tied my ribbon around our wrists, I knew what I was doing and I privately honored it."
Wei Wuxian's brows continued to meet as he tried to understand where the conversation was going until realization dawned on him.
"Wa - wait! Lan Zhan, is it what I think it is?!!"
"It is usually done at the end of a wedding ceremony -"
    "What-"
"But it could have been acknowledged as an engagement."
"Lan Zhan!" He cannot believe what he is hearing now.

    Summary

For thirteen years, Wei Wuxian had been cautious. He hadn't done anything that could risk his new identify as Mo Xuanyu. He'd distanced himself from anything that had to do with the Clans he grew up with. Only for one coworker's sick kid to cause his past to come hurtling back at him.

His past, of course, is named Lan Wangji. And this time, he won't let Wei Wuxian go.

    Summary

Lan Wanji was never told the details of his parents' story. Now that he has discovered his own desires, his life's goal is to keep Wei Wuxian from finding out. But life is cruel and truths get revealed at the worst possible times.

Since I suck at summaries, here are some key features:
    - it's Wangxian mainly
    - plus some development of the prev generation Lans
    - plus going to war with the Wens
    - plus Wen Qing being totally badass
    - plus Jin family craziness
    - plus just about every character ever mentioned on the show and some assumed ones getting screentime and storylines

And if you're still wondering, here's a taste:
    ------------------------------
“Ah, but there are other Wens here though,” Jin Guangshan gave an appraising look to Wen Ning and Wen Qing. “Who could say where they were last night.”

“Where do you think I was,” Wen Qing retorted quickly, “on my wedding night?”
    [...]
“What about him then?” a Jin pointed at Wen Ning.

“He was with me,” Nie Mingjue said flatly.

“All night?” Nie Huaisang peeked over his fan to stare at his brother. “What were you doing?”

“Talking,” Nie Mingjue said in a threatening tone. The fan went back up.
