After the battle against Nyx Avatar and Nyx, Makoto Yuuki and Kotone Shiomi gave their life to form the Great Seal using her bonds, blocking Erebus from reaching Nyx and enacting the Fall. Everything continues like normal until after March 5th 2010, when the two protagonists "died" holding out their promise to make it to graduation, the two universes naturally merged together into one as the events taking places in both are too similar to be seperated, rendering the Seal sacrifices to be overkill (as it only takes 1 human soul and no more). Now no longer needed for the Seal, Kotone is now brought back into the real world again on a new adventure, this time meeting some familiar faces in that one dream she had.
