Cracking jokes, but underneath it is a crack itself, something Harry’s trying to plaster over with those jokes, trying to hide. Roman may recognize insecurity best in Connie, lately, but Harry isn’t exactly lacking in it, he’s just a lot more likely to bluff that he isn’t, that’s absurd, and also fuck you for accusing him of that.

Wille, here, could you hold this up with Simon,” the photographer asks, handing Wille one of the royal blue jerseys the team wears. Lifting up the shirt and handing it for Simon to hold he sees the ‘Eriksson 10’ printed on the back.
“Did they actually ask you which number you want or…” Wille asks Simon, in Swedish then, the first question of the night that isn’t at least partially scripted. Looking over he sees the man crack a wide smile and shake his head in a small motion, making sure it’s not noticeable in the photos.
“No, though I’m sure someone in my team was asked about it and they just said pick whichever number you want,” he answers.

There are these broken parts of me that …,” He paused, looking for words as his eyes teared up. “That will never properly heal, or, if they do, there’ll always be scars. But I feel like there’s something fundamental inside me that is broken.” He turned to look at Wille, tears streaming down his face towards the pillow which was Wille’s arm.
“I’m not sure how to say this but what you said, that’s exactly how I feel. About myself I mean.” Wille held his gaze, and adjusted his body so he could caress Simon’s back and neck as he spoke. “It feels like you’re speaking words and thoughts and feelings from my own mind. It’s…it should be eerie, except it feels the complete opposite.” His mouth twitched, and a muscle in his chin kept moving. “It feels like you’re looking right into the deepest, darkest corners of my soul. Such a cliché.”
This is a love story written to my young self, and to everybody who has ever felt unlovable and wrong and broken.
