“You awake?” He asked.
“We’re still down here,” Tommy replied instead, complaint overtaking his tone.
Phil chuckled, “Yea. Yea we are.”
It was then that the pinching feeling disappeared from his wrist, the same one that was the sole contact between him and Phil.
“What were you doing?” He asked.
“Checking your pulse,” Phil replied.

Or, Tommy gets trapped underneath a collapsed building after a hero-villain fight gone wrong. It just so happens that the notorious villain 'Angel of Death' is trapped there with him.

Tommy hears another loud crackling zap of electricity after that, and then another, and realizes that the man is jumping from roof to roof, escaping between Tommy’s fingers before he even has the chance to act.
He doesn’t want to panic. He shouldn’t panic. He’s still smart, and capable, and a hero.
He’s totally panicking.
or: hero Voltage and villain Blood God accidentally switch bodies in a scuffle involving a potion. Nothing goes well, because when does it ever?

“And everyone is so old,” Tubbo complains. Somehow, without them knowing about it, Tubbo’s managed to swipe a waffle and is chewing on it happily. Sapnap stifles a laugh. “Well, not everyone, I guess- the kid in our room is our age, I think. He might be younger.”
Wilbur perks up. “Does he ice skate?”
“Yeah, he does. He’s got these sick skates and everything.” Tubbo explains. “He’s quiet though. We tried talking to him, but…”
“But?”
Tubbo shrugs. "He's quiet. He doesn't talk much. I guess he's busy."
or, Tommy's made it to the Olympics for figure skating- he's the youngest contestant on the ice and he's the favor for the gold. He's supposed to be living the dream. So why is he still so unhappy? And why do all these hockey players and snowboarders care so much about him?
