The winter wind biting his face, Shunshui shivered as a particularly strong gust battered against him. It had been cold for almost a week now, so he was fairly certain the ice would be thick enough. True, he hadn’t actually checked whether the temperature had been below freezing, but cold was cold, right?
Or: Shunshui goes to check on the thickness of the ice on Jushiro's favourite ice skating pond in order to try and bring good news and win some favours from him, but doesn't realize he shouldn't walk on thin ice...
