Summary
Robby isn’t young, by all means. He’s had his fair share of relationships: doomed ones from the start, ones that hurt so good, ones that are so bad for him but so good for his ego. Dennis Whitaker never made it to medical school, he's twenty-six working at his mother's bakery. Day to day is the same, he gets in at five in the morning, he leaves at six in the evening. In a town where everyone knows everyone when Michael "Robby" Robinavitch arrives, he sticks out like a sore thumb. After Robby becomes a regular at the bakery, Dennis starts to remember why he wanted to leave town all those years ago.

Dennis is absolutely crushing on his boss. Honestly he’s not always sure if it’s that he’s actually crushing or if he’s just attention and touch starved and his primary source of attention and touch happens to be from the chief attending of the ED. He’s…managing.
Besides, Dennis is pretty positive Dr. Robby is completely ignorant to the effect he has and certainly would never reciprocate his delusions. Right?
