Summary
The Apocalypse is coming. The end of days. Father and favorite son, battling for control of the universe. Dean, a human turned demon, is on Team Lucifer, and in these most epic of times before the Great War, Dean is…bored.
Then, to the tune of a classic Meat Loaf song, a little excitement swoops into Dean’s life–a smoking hot angel named Castiel who’s hell-bent (heaven-bent?) on defeating Lucifer.
They make an agreement: to spend time with each other in exchange for information on their bosses’ plans.
Dean has an additional plan in mind: to rock the sexy seraph’s world until the Earth is a pile of rocks.
He doesn’t expect Castiel, with his sarcastic wit, his take-no-bullshit attitude, and his pure, genuine heart, to rock his world right back.
As demon and angel grow closer, questions arise about both themselves and the universe itself, leading them to search for answers as they race toward a future they hope will happen–if they’re willing to do anything for love.

Summary
Years after Cas’ death, Dean is a retired hunter who’s now mostly known for his bitchin’ pies, quick mechanical work and the patchwork of tattoos that litter his body that tell a mournful story of a life lost to powers greater than him. Having spent his time since losing Cas and defeating Chuck learning to live again, Dean’s perfectly carved out little slice of life is thrown for a loop when the supposedly dead angel and the would-be God show up at his doorstep on the fifth anniversary of Cas’ death, both very much alive. Jack; just a child. Cas; just a man.

Cas and Rowena move into the wealthy suburb of Lavender Pines and work to become the most well-liked newlywed couple on the block. Sam and Dean support them from the bunker. It’s a milk run of a case. Simple. Easy.

Summary
Cas looks even more tired than Dean feels. His eyes are red and the bags under them are more prominent than ever. His hair is a hot mess, reminding Dean of the time when Cas was still able to take off any second with just a flick of his wings. The cut on his neck is covered with a white bandage now and he wears different clothes, a gray sweatpants and a black shirt with a hole on the collar, that Dean recognizes as one of his. It makes him look different. It makes him look soft.
Dean likes it a lot.

Cas is back and that is great. Except that it worries Dean how much Cas struggles to adjust to humanity, haunted by nightmares and memories every night. So it's just a gesture of their friendship, despite Castiel's feelings for him, when Dean offers Cas to stay with him at night.

Summary
Mary Winchester died in a presumed-accidental house fire in Queens, New York in 1983. Nearly 40 years later, her sons, Dean (now an EMT) and Sam (a New York City corporate attorney) discover that their father, now-retired cop John Winchester, intentionally set the fire that killed their mother, and Dean finally gets his revenge.
Queens County District Attorney Castiel Novak knows that Dean Winchester is a suspect in John Winchester's murder - but he also knows that his own father was once a likely-corrupt judge who helped John escape punishment. Against what might be his better judgment, he lets himself get too close to Dean. And even as the cops build their case against Dean, he knows that, maybe, the right thing to do is help Dean Winchester get off (yeah okay pun intended).
