The mech suit is not a collar. A collar comes with all sorts of expectations and promises between a dominant and a submissive; the mech suit is a very expensive present Kacchan and the others gave Izuku to help him live his dream. It has nothing to do with dynamics. It has nothing to do with the looks Kacchan sometimes gives him, with the looks he finds himself constantly giving Kacchan.
Izuku’s instincts are hopelessly fixated on it, though.

“Katsuki,” Masaru asks, a little more desperately now, “Your new friend…is he…a dragon?”
Katsuki looks up from the loot bag he’s busy stuffing with bits of jade and malachite and massive, rare green sapphires and scoffs.
“Of course not,” he says, looking smug and pleased, “He’d make a terrible dragon. Deku’s my unicorn, he's way better like that, we’re gonna go on adventures together now.”
He takes his sack of loot to his room and calls.
“I wanna look through the rest of your junk later, it’s not as lame as I thought, okay?”
Mitsuki hears the door slam and turns to her mate in shock.
“A unicorn.” She mumbles.
“At least it’s not a human,” he says faintly.
Or- Izuku and Katsuki meet as children. They couldn’t be more different, or more similar either!

Midoriya Izuku is kidnapped from the streets to be twisted into a nomu, the very same day that Bakugou Katsuki tells the boy to end his life. His dreams of having a Quirk useful for heroism, or even any Quirk at all, spiral into a nightmare, whilst Katsuki’s dreams of finally being rid of his utmost annoyance turn into a sour reality. As Izuku loses all hope in ever seeing those he loves again, Katsuki vows to become the hero he failed to be for Izuku.
Two different perspectives of life play out; the first a horror story of entrapment and human experimentation, and the other a one-sided reconciliation with a decade of wrongs that can no longer be righted.

When they do however they didn’t take into consideration the missing kid who had no quirk. Sensing time was short Izuku Midoriya did the only thing he could think of and that was help everyone else escape while he stayed behind.
Years later the commission had confirmed Midoriya dead and Aziawa’s new group of hero students look promising. Little biased considering one of them belonged to him
However when a familiar green steps out of a portal during the USJ attack and the same familiar green was responsible in kidnapping two students Aizawa and Shinso start thinking Midoriya isn’t as dead as he was believed to be.

The villains only had the one quirk suppression collar, which they'd slapped on Deku the moment they could, but they had this weird head gear they wrestled Katsuki into, some nightmare of leather and metal that covered his eyes and had some kind of grate across his mouth to prevent him from biting anyone. Combining that with them taking his hearing aids, meant Katsuki was literally and figuratively in the dark. Somehow, without Deku's quirk and without Katsuki's sight or hearing, they were going to have to free themselves and get back home.
