If only...if only he could reach a little further. As he forced himself forward, a metal collar scratched his throat raw. Links of Styngian iron clipped him to the floor, allowing little to no space for movement.
Isn't it ironic? Caught and chained like a dog. The powerful son of Jupiter, Praetor of New Rome, reduced to a shaking mess by means of a pretty necklace and a bowl of terracotta.

The knot in Mike's heart that never quite left after he saw Will's body, sopping wet and lifeless by the quarry. A boy, haloed in light as he hands over a painting, a silent confession. More, more, more. Every second of everything Will has tried to forget since he left so long ago.
Eyes bleary, Will finally reaches the last few pages. His heart aches as the desolate, grey radio tower is described.

“I’m not Tammy Thompson.” Mike’s eyes blaze. “I’m goddamn Mike Wheeler, and I’ve been in love with you since you set my hair on fire in science class when we were ten.” His jaw clenches, and Will feels like someone let off a grenade next to his head. “I realised I was in love with you when you left me for Lenora, and realised you loved me when you made up that bullshit about El asking you to make me the painting.”
Will feels the blood leave his face, feels his entire world shifting in an instant. “Mike–”
“And then you stand there and tell everyone it’s this crush that amounts to the same as some girl who didn’t like Robin back?” Mike’s voice cracks. “I– how am I that to you?”

Summary
Percy balled his fist and hit Jason’s side, attempting to force him off of him. The thump echoed too far, reminding him of the emptiness of the summer day. Jason grunted in more annoyance than pain, sharp teeth bared aggressively as he pushed off of him and rolled to the side, allowing Percy to finally get up.
As Percy stood, something dawned on him. This parking lot was empty. Plus, mortals would never be able to see them fight anyways.
This entire place was fair game.
Jason’s expression told him that they had the same thought, so perfectly in sync. It had been a while since they’d gotten a good spar, uninterrupted by laughing and shouting campers. A long time since they’d been able to fight, test each other’s abilities without being pulled apart by a concerned bystander. There was an animalistic thrill sparkling in his ice blue eyes, pupils dilated with an intent focus that reminded him of a predator locking onto its prey. It made Percy feel like he was about to be hunted for sport, sending a jolt of excitement down his spine.

Jason and Percy beat each other up in a Walmart parking lot and then kiss. That’s the fic. What else could you want?

Aka; Dipper and Mabel are forced to split up, and decide to draw eyes on each other to literally keep an eye on one another. This decision leads to revelations, breakdowns, arson, found family, and the twins fully realizing just how eldrich they are now.
Also I aged the twins up to where GF was the year before high school. It just makes this easier because this fic is going to be a beast.

"I'm so lucky to have you." Leo whispers, placing another gentle kiss to the sensitive patch of skin just behind Jason's jaw, the spot he knows the other can't help but squirm at. He brushes his mouth across the pale stretch of skin, delighting in the small squeak he receives in return.
A laugh rumbles in his chest as Jason pushes him away in a weak attempt to steady the flush rising across his cheeks. This happiness was all consuming, everything Leo had never had and always wanted.
"Go back to bed before you make me go insane." The blonde laughs weakly, still avoiding eye contact. Inside his chest, his heart clenched. Sometimes he believed if he blinked too hard, if he enjoyed his boyfriend's presence too much, he'd simply....dissapear.

Mike's hair was plastered to his neck, eyes focused and trained on the ball, fingers twitching like they were incomplete without it.
Somebody shouts, and Mike visibly relaxes, his posture straightening as he drags a lazy hand through his hair. Will's eyes attach to the motion, startling when Mike looks back.
He beams, waving brightly, pushing up onto the tips of his toes as if Will couldn't see him already. His quiet laugh and small wave in return brings his party's attention to him.

Jason read over the box's instructions a few times, pulling out the bottle of bleach and feeling the smooth plastic beneath his fingers. "I think Piper would've been a better choice for this." He murmurs, slipping his hands through dark waves and relishing the texture.
"Maybe. But you're my first choice. Always." Percy states, like it was obvious. Like it had always been true. Sky and sea were never meant to part, only created to slip into each other again, and again, and again, sunset clashing against gentle waters.
He pretends his heart doesn't clench at the mention of being wanted, of being significant for something other than a leader, a strategist. He pretends his voice doesn't crack when he speaks. "Of course."

Thalia beamed at him, her usual mischievous grin spread across her face. It made her quite popular with suitors, though she couldn't seem to care less. She poked the jester's cheek with an archery-worn finger, who shifted in the room nervously. He was cute, Jason supposed. His hair was written in cursive curlicues, and sandy freckles glittered on his cheeks.
"Isn't he adorable? This is Leo, your new personal court jester!"
The newly introduced Leo smiled at her words. It seemed as soon as he was given a cue, his nervousness masked itself away. "And here I thought I'd get to hang out with the pretty princess." He slowly drags his eyes up and down the prince, a lazy grin forming as he sighed. Jason felt exposed, like hot fire ants were crawling across his skin. "Seems I've been downgraded."
