They were incapable of loving him. Always treating him like a child. Always arguing and fighting about the little details. Pushing him out of his comfort zone. Making his life a living hell.
But he didn’t want to be alone.
So he stayed. And listened, he listened to the lies spewing from their lips, and ate every single promise like a starving dog. He tried to make it work, but every day was a struggle. An awful headache. A new challenge.
Then, they left. Without a word. Of course the argument was brutal, but they left

Megatronus has never been a mech who wanted a proper family. Sure, he had one or two favorites amongst the High Guard and the recruits, but he was content as is. There was no need, nor want, to sit with a sparkling in his lap who repeated the weather report back to him.
