Ben gently lowers him on the bed and moves to leave. Johnny makes a mortifying sound and shoots an arm out to hold him in place.
“Johnny,” Ben whispers. “I’m gonna go get Reed, ok?”
“Nooo…” Johnny whines. Even if it wouldn’t be absolutely mortifying for Reed to see him this way, he thinks he might die if Ben’s warmed-up skin doesn’t stay pressed to his neck.
“He’ll make you feel better,” Ben insists.”
“You feel better,” Johnny whispers. Ben stiffens then relaxes in his grasp.
“Alright,” Ben sighs out. Johnny feels Ben’s weight settle next to him in bed. He sighs in contentment as Ben’s large hand settles gingerly onto his aching head. The combined pressure and heat is starting to ease the pounding. “But we’re getting you some painkillers first thing in the morning.”
“You’re not my dad,” Johnny mumbles. He falls asleep to the rumble of Ben’s gentle chuckles.

Yelena swallowed. The doors were still open. “Oh, I don’t know. Uh, like the, uh, crazy things my dad says. Like, maybe if you wanted to talk about that, I thought, you know, you could come in and we could talk about that.”
Bob didn’t move for a moment. His dark eyes were fixed on the floor, on the crack between the elevator and the floor to her room. On the void between, tiny and endless, a crack of pitch blackness in the building that eyes never saw and a finger couldn’t fit into, but a void all the same. “Do you… want to talk about that?” he asked, his voice quiet and low and cautious.

Before FN-2187 can properly panic over this, a message is sent to him by a Resistance fighter under the code name Black Leader. It’s one simple word: “Status?”
FN-2187 wakes up to the orders of committing coldblooded murder and falls asleep to the despair of the dead. He’s one step away from messing up and getting reconditioned. When Black Leader asks how he’s doing, even if the question isn’t intended for him, FN-2187 can’t help himself.

TL;DR: After too many months of being caged in the tower, treated like a little kid, Bob breaks down and starts the long journey of healing and finding purpose, supported by his new fucked up family. Well, except for one of them, but maybe that's for the best.

Yelena's eyebrows shoot upward, highly amused. “Not wearing–? Bob, whatever gave you that idea?”
Bob falters, mouth bobbing around soundless words, suddenly unsure. He squints at her gray sweater, as if he could make out the object out by sheer will alone. “... Are you?”
“Yes, of course, Bob– what do you take me for? Look, see?” Yelena points to her chest, urging him to lean closer for a better look. “Right here, this spot right here, that little dark bit you see that blends with the light and the dark, that is the—”
Her hands shoot out without warning, shoving a screaming Bob off the ledge.
Or: Yelena helps Bob face his fear of heights, among other things.

She watches him explode from the ice, like lightning in a bottle, a crackle of electricity, raw and untamed. Gone is the boy who'd turned up in a too-big jersey and didn't know which end of the stick was supposed to be on the ice. What she's seeing now is a different man entirely. Her heart does a weird flip flop as the Hala Crusaders scatter like marbles upon his approach. He's actually going to do it, she thinks. He's going to save us all.
But then he puts one skate in front of the other and trips up, arms flailing widely as he struggles to remain upright, before smacking his helmet onto the ice and floating along like a sad little turtle.
"Oh, shit!" She hears Walker stifle a laugh, and then there's a groan. Ava's probably punched him.

"That's not gonna change anything," Bucky says, swallowing hard. Steve's words bounce around in his brain. It feels like they're hitting up against spots he hasn't uncovered yet.
"Then you've got nothing to lose," Steve says, raising an eyebrow. "Right?"

In 1930s Hollywood, the world is run on the studio system. Stars are told who to date, what to wear, what to say, and how to look pretty doing it. The only way you can really do what you want is if you don't get caught.
Steve's dating Peggy, which works out because she's married to Sam, even though it's not legal. But it's the perfect cover for the fact that Steve's gay. He's managing just find skirting the system to find companionship, but then he meets James Barnes and life gets a lot more complicated.
