As it usually goes, it was just an ordinary day. Well—it was actually night, but that probably didn't matter in the end.. Well maybe if it was day, he at least could've reacted better and maybe, 𝘮𝘢𝘺𝘣𝘦 change the course of how things went.
If that's even what he wanted. He isn't quite sure anymore.
or, one experience sends Grian and Pearl unwillingly down a path of ...villainous, acquaintances.

Her name comes naturally: Pearlescentmoon. She’s on a server, she understands the concept, but she can’t think of its name. She doesn’t know how she got here, and she can’t remember a moment before.
There’s only one strong goal in her mind, and it’s that no one can know. She doesn’t know what they’re not supposed to know, though it’s about her. But she needs to act like everyone here.
“Watchers don’t have the same moral standards as players - they’re not really conscious. They just want to see what button they can press, what they can make happen. They want entertainment.”
Pearl is struggling to stay afloat on a strange world, besieged by dreams of her past and words - worlds - she can only half remember. Unbeknownst to her, the other players on Hermitcraft have been desperately searching for her ever since she went missing months ago.

Grian is an avian - he is also training to become a watcher. When he is finally assigned to his first mission, he gets injured and has to be nursed by none other than the hermits themselves.
Here he learns about the world outside of watcher academy and has to come to a terrible realization.

Summary
Tommy seems pale and drawn, like a person stepping up to the gallows, as he enters the booth to sing. His hands don’t shake, but it feels disingenuous of Wilbur to look at that as a ray of light in everything. The group of them watch from behind the one way glass as Tommy steps up to the microphone. His eyes fall closed and they don’t open back up.
When he sings, it’s such a wail of pain that Wilbur’s sure by the end that Tommy will drop to his knees and heave.
He doesn’t. Almost by miracle, Tommy’s standing when he's finished, and with a creased, ruined expression and a torn heart, he steps back from the mic and walks out like it was nothing.
There’s silence, then –
“Holy shit,” Schlatt says, and yeah. That just about sums it all up.
Or, Tommy is a young pop artist going on tour - he holds auditions for his touring band and ends up getting not just a band, but a family. It's just -- he doesn't seem to know that. (based around Olivia Rodrigo's album Sour)
