George believes in love. He’s a hopeful person. He hopes that Dream shares his beliefs.
Sometimes, he wants to give up hope, but he always finds that he can’t. He can’t control his heart. It’s always ignited again by the same voice, the same two words.
“Hey George”
It sounds ethereal this time, with the added echo of the voice modifier. The voice evaporates into his mind. He tries to fight his smile, he really does. He knows that giving in will most likely harm him. But he hopes. And so, he smiles.-
Or, George sees Dream's face for the first time on a call and his internalized homophobia kicks back in, transforming the next week or so into an intense emotional rollercoaster for the two of them that will change their lives forever. Best part is, their friends and fans notice most of it.
i based the chapter titles and the fanfic title off of the song 'the beach' by the neighborhood even though I didn't base the story off of it; it just fits weirdly well somehow. unfortunately, they don't actually go to the beach.
