Summary
it costs nothing to be kind. so you leap at your chance to do a good deed for a clearly irate stranger and in return you’d feel a warm, self-righteous feeling in your heart knowing you’re a good person—though you start to question the depth of your kindness when said stranger asks you for a favour you should, by all logic, refuse.

Summary
He thinks about you at home, unaware, alone. You probably think he's on deployment working... You probably believe you're being loved in the way good people love: patiently, faithfully, without question. You don't know about the other woman.
Well now, he thinks, very calmly, letting the dog sit up inside his ribs. That won't do.
Or; if Price won't treat his girl right, Simon will. Even if it means crossing the line from loyalty into possession.

Summary
Price, Ghost, Soap, and Gaz all enlisted when they were practically kids and the military basically raised them as a result. They know how to dismantle a rifle blindfolded, patch a sucking chest wound, and conduct recon in hostile territory; but put them in a normal house, in a normal neighborhood, in a normal environment and suddenly it’s game over.
Because they’re bad at it. Really bad. By Day Three you have already decided that the four men across the street are either undercover agents, aliens trying out human cosplay, or the weirdest polycule of gay men on the eastern seaboard.
Because how the fuck do four fully grown men collectively fail to figure out how to operate a lawn mower or light a grill without a column of flame visible to the ISS?
Or: A comprehensive log of why your home insurance premium is about to skyrocket.

After, silence, except for your breathing. Usually this is where men go soft. He doesn’t. He stays heavy in your hand, overfull, sensitive to pain and pleasure at once, pulsing against your palm like his body refuses to accept the idea of finished.
“Still with me?” You ask, amused and sweet.
“Ja,” he says, wrecked. Panic edges in. “I am…still. I am sorry, I- ”
“Don’t apologize,” you say, and lick him slow, from base to tip, a filthy benediction that wipes the word from his mouth. “Lucky me.”

Half bull, half man, you always thought the stories were only tales told by the fire to scare children. Turns out that the stories, for once, are true. There's something even worse in this maze, something cursed and foul... Hecate herself would shiver if She were here, in the womb of the earth, witnessing what you’re witnessing now.

Summary
You have a bit of a hard time comparing, pushing the image of König before you, smaller than he really is, consoling you and being consoled in turn, with what else you know he is. Contrasting it against the King of the forest, ostensibly, tall as an oak and broad as a mountainside, predator of some order and cunning of another, ripping open a deer’s stomach with his bare hands. Trailing after you, you, for some reason that you still haven’t been able to pin down.

You’re a witch, summoning a guide to lead you through the forest. Unbeknownst to you, he knows you a bit better than you know him.
