Summary
Tomorrow, Soap would force himself to be awake at six. He’d be ready, sitting on the stoop, a cup of coffee in one hand and his rifle in the other.
And when he shot Ghost dead, he’d plant thistle in the viscera he left behind.
Ten years after surviving a gunshot wound to the head, Soap is struggling with the reality of retirement and the abrupt, seemingly unprompted reappearance of his ex-lover and former lieutenant. But healing isn't linear, and sometimes things need to shatter and break before they can be built back up anew.

Summary
At twenty-one, John MacTavish is one of Arsenal's young superstars. At twenty-nine, Simon Riley is Manchester United's beloved homegrown hero. Aside from playing top-flight football for two of the biggest clubs in the Premier League, they shouldn't have anything in common. They certainly shouldn't be fucking. And they absolutely, most definitely, should not be falling in love.

Summary
When John “Soap” MacTavish leaves the city behind for a neglected farm he inherited from his late grandfather in Pelican Town, he expects soil, sweat, and a quiet life. What he doesn’t expect is to meet Simon “Ghost” Riley, a gruff, masked recluse living in the mountains. Between tending to his animals, the changing seasons, and dangerous dives into the mines, Soap’s path keeps crossing with Ghost’s. Soap came to the valley to start over, but he never imagined Ghost would be the one to take root in his heart.

Summary
Soap held a high respect for his Lieutenant. Ghost constantly had his shit together in a way Soap would always look up to, how easy it seemed to be for Ghost to handle any situation. To never make mistakes. Unlike Soap, who constantly messed stuff up. Where the room grew louder everywhere he went, it had to be annoying, right?
Sometimes he wished he could be Ghost. To have a fraction of that mans patience, skill, and ability. But what if that admiration turned to jealousy once he realized he'd never have that? Rotted into something bitter until he couldn’t stand the idea of being near him? The smug fucker that Ghost was. How wrong he had been for looking up to him, maybe he was just stupid, a fucking idiot. Maybe all he had needed to do was open his eyes. With stresses piling up, the feeling of not being recognized, overlooked. Talked down to like he's a fresh boot cadet? It gets old. And when you pile all that up, it eventually has to go somewhere.
