Nor look this good. Nor invoke all these emotions that he'd buried.
No, Chuuya doesn't expect this night to change their relationship, because he knows Dazai will leave him alone again.. just like all the times he'd left before.
In short: Dazai and Chuuya spend a comfort night together to forget about their worries, but end up complicating things.

“Chuuya… We have to go…” Dazai whispered and pulled him up unwillingly.
Chuuya held his hand, followed his guide with his usual smile on his face. Dazai’s chest tightened painfully at the sight, and he couldn’t stop himself from pulling him into a tight embrace.
He didn’t want it. He didn’t want Chuuya to lose even more of himself. His stomach turned into a tight knot at the thought.
A soft warmth spread in his chest when Chuuya leaned his head against his shoulder.
“I trust you.”
“I know.” Dazai pulled him closer. “And that’s the problem…”

It isn’t until he feels a welcome, solid weight come to rest against his shoulder that he smiles. He closes his book quietly with one hand, turning his head to the side.
“There we are,” he murmurs softly into the sunset-orange locks tickling his cheek. Chuuya is fast asleep, cheek squished awkwardly against Dazai’s shoulder, mouth hanging open, an omen of unattractive drool surely on the horizon. There’s a wrinkle in his forehead where his eyebrows are furrowed, stress finding him even in sleep, and Dazai gently lifts the arm that Chuuya isn’t snoozing on to rub them away with his finger. “Finally all tuckered out, hm?”
Or: After exams, Chuuya is exhausted, and Dazai keeps him comfortable on the train.
