Eddie’s still got a bit of a limp, and despite the remaining bandages under his Metallica tee shirt, it doesn’t stop him. He walks into family video like the limp is part of the swagger, shooting finger guns and waving at an imaginary crowd, “thank you! Thank you! Wasn’t expecting such an amazing turn out,” he stops briefly, pretending someone's offering him a microphone, “well, yes, obviously tales of my demise have been greatly exaggerated,” and he hands the microphone back, more finger guns, one of those manic smiles where he sticks his tongue out as far as it’ll go, shooting devil horns above his head. “The hero returns!” Eddie announces to the empty Family Video as he finally gets to where Steve is resting his hip against the counter, trying not to smile at Eddie’s antics. He knows he's being dumb, but Eddie can’t resist hamming it up, just to watch Steve trying not to smile.
Eddie knows Steve’s near breaking into laughter when he rolls his eyes instead.

He hasn’t moved from his spot by the door, fingers still hovering over the light switch, but the way he is staring at Steve now makes his hand freeze in its attempt to yank the tiara out. It’s not just hungry anymore. It’s downright predatory, those big brown eyes aglow with something Steve doesn’t think he’s ever seen in them. Something raw, something primal. Steve’s stomach gives a funny little swoop.
“Wh- … what?” he hears himself croak.
“I said,” Eddie kicks the door shut with his boot, eyes never once leaving Steve, then crosses the distance between them in two quick strides. Steve’s ass hits the washbasin painfully, hands flying down to clutch the edge for balance as Eddie pushes him against it. “Leave. It. In.”
