At last, after what feels like a hundred years of that inscrutable stare, Dick nods. "Yeah," he says. "You know, I think you're right. I think B just made the wrong call on this one."
"That's what I've been saying," crows Jason, triumphant. "But nobody fucking listens to me! You can't swap in some half-ass replacement and expect results."
Tim's still down in the icy water below that thin, crumpled layer of safety. The cold has numbed his limbs, numbed his lungs, left him struggling to breathe. He's not drowning yet, but he feels like he's forgotten how to swim. Some small, logical part of his brain knows, objectively, that this has to be another hallucination. They aren't really here.
The rest of him is caught up in how real it all feels.

Tim tries to get Dick to be Robin again but he refuses, so he takes matters into his own hands. Born a girl though he disguises himself as a boy to sneak into the bat cave, sure that Batman wouldn't want a little girl around. but being a boy feels more right than anything else ever did.

Jason's voice cracks. "Please tell me you know that," he begs.
Or - Tim Drake did something bad. Something evil. Something unforgivable. It doesn't matter that he was five, six, seven, eight, nine, ten, eleven, twelve, thirteen, and fourteen when he did it. It doesn't matter that he was a kid. All that matters is that he did it. Now that his parents are dead and he is living with Bruce he has to pretend it never happened. But when an unlikely friend comes back into his life he has to decide whether to bear his past alone or tell someone.
