Summary

“What the hell was that,” Bakugo said, voice rough—too steady for someone who should’ve been furious.
Midoriya’s hands shook so hard he had to grip the counter. “I— I’m sorry. I didn’t mean to. I lost control—”
Bakugo’s fingers brushed his own neck, like he was checking a bruise, like he couldn’t quite believe it was real. Then his eyes lifted—sharp, focused, almost too awake.
“Do that again,” Bakugo said.
Midoriya went still. “What?”
Bakugo stepped closer, close enough that Midoriya’s throat tightened all over again. “I said,” Bakugo repeated, quieter this time, like it was a dare he was placing directly in Midoriya’s hands. “Do it. Again.”
Midoriya swallowed hard. “That’s illegal.”
Bakugo’s mouth twitched, not a smile—something meaner. “Then don’t get caught.”
