Summary
So what if Tony Stark has a folder of pictures JARVIS recognizes alternately as Project Rebirth (when Tony's sober), Project Hero Worship (when he's tipsy), and Project Spank Bank (when he's drunk)? No big deal. Unless Loki destroys Avengers Mansion and Hawkeye ends up finding the damn pictures and showing them to Steve. And if there's maybe a teeny-tiny misunderstanding about why precisely Tony has them.
In which Loki is a dick, Thor is the bestest drinking buddy ever, and Tony has a hard time saying what he means.

Summary
The Avengers had been a team for almost four years before Steve had found and rescued Bucky, and they had been living together since basically day one. They had worked, fought and lived together for four years. Bucky’s six months in the tower appeared almost insignificant in comparison, and he could see that in the way the team was around each other: the ease between them, the physical contact, the jokes, the bright smiles, the trust.
Somewhere along the line, the Avengers had become a family, and Bucky was not a part of it.

“I am Bucky.” The phrase feels like any other phrase from his mouth. There is no weight to the statement, no assurance ringing deep within him that it’s true. ‘I am the Asset,’ has more meaning to him than the name ‘Bucky Barnes.’
“I am th - Bucky,” he says, the change coming out of his mouth without permission. “I am th-” e Asset, “Bucky. I am Bucky.”
The trigger words are gone, but now there is something in their place - something that only lets him speak as Bucky.
And he is not Bucky Barnes.

Steve’s heart ached in pain, and his eyes burned with unshed tears. The first words that came out of his mouth were hoarse and raw. “What’s wrong with my wings ma?”
His ma wasn’t happy that his translucent wings turned to something colorful when he finally came of age for it to molt; she looked terrified when she looked at them. He knew that, with the way Sarah looked at them, his wings weren’t something to be proud of, no matter how beautiful he initially thought they were.
Sarah slowly walked over to him, trying to mask her fear and her sadness, coming up to hug him. But he noticed that that hug was slightly more impassioned; she was drawing away from him.
“Black wings are bad luck,” she said into his ear. “They remind people of death. Don’t ever show anybody your wings.”
