    He was safe here, as far as he knew. Hydra would never think to look for him here in the wilds of who the fuck knew where, but still, it paid to be cautious, more so when going out in the darkness for an injured wolf. He stood, stripped off his clothes and crossed to unlock the door. His bare foot hit the snowy doorstep as he let the change take him, his form shifting, compressing here, growing there, fur spreading across his skin until with a final whir of his metal arm, he was transformed. He raised his muzzle to the sky and howled, ears pricking as he waited for the response. It came, pained and ending in a whimper. Bucky took off, paws thundering across the snow covered ground.

    "Clint," Bucky says, and if it comes out as a laugh, well, he can't help it. The guy's funny. "Why do you want to see my abs?"

    "Oh." Clint brightens, lips quirking at an uneven slope and huh, would you look at that, Hawkeye's kinda cute. Y'know, when he's not being a huge pest. "Katie-Kate needs help with her highlighter palette. We're doing a thirst trap guerilla marketing campaign."

    Van was never meant to be here, she had no reason to be even remotely near the Avengers. But hey when someone illegally experiments on you, you end up with some quirks. (Not to mention your own personal animal companion. No, she is not a Disney Princess.) Those aren't really applicable to a 9-5 office job. So Avengers it is!
    Steve doesn't trust her, Hydra has been trying too many things lately - he's got to keep his people safe. Even if everyone else on the compound seems to be accepting her, he's going to remain vigilant.

    What happens when one person knows they're soulmates? What happens when the other doesn't give them the time of day? What happens when there's an old prophesy that talks about how the former is some kind of magical saviour? Who the flip knows.
