Summary
This is a story about the Ancient and Most Noble House of Black, or at least what is left of it. In 1987, Cassiopeia Black receives a shocking letter about a metamorphic child, who may or may not be a Black. From there, House Black has a choice: come together and overcome their differences or fade into obscurity.
This is a slow-burn fic with a lot of politics and POVs from all Blacks (including the usually forgotten ones). This is the perfect fit for those who love the Blacks, extensive world-building, and captivating mystery.

She and Ekko were close (her Ekko, she doesn’t know about this Ekko) since they were kids, nobody had been surprised that she and Ekko had ended up together. Ekko, her Ekko had ended up saying something similar in a roundabout way; that he’d liked her since they were small.
