Charles doesn’t love Henry. He loved him once, for all of an hour, and even that tiny morsel of a crush was a massive mistake. While Charles was distracted by his charms and skills, he turned around and betrayed him. That gesture broke what little faith he had in him, and nothing from that point on could've let him regain that trust.

"Luna, breathe." The planet reminded him, making the smaller realize he was holding his breath. His body shook as he sucked in a shaky inhale, but it caught in his throat, and he choked. He doubled over, pulling away from Earth’s hands.
Breathe, breathe, breathe.
"Everyone will be happier this way."
Burning hot droplets slipped past his eyes before he could stop it. Luna choked on a sob, curling up and hiding his face in his arms, hands grabbing fistfuls of his hair. His entire body shook, trembling intensifying when his sobs got worse.
Hands reached for him... but stopped. They hovered just out of reach, hesitant and unsure- not like Earth-
"We love you." Luna cried before he could stop himself, hunching in further. "We love you, we do, you have to know that-"
"What?" Earth sounded confused, not understanding what Luna was talking about. It took a minute... before realization seemed to make his eyes spark and widen.
"...Oh, Luna."

Luna has a nightmare about not being able to save the Earth.

Swallowing down a bolt of fear, Luna sat back up and grabbed his necklace again, the warm metal feeling like a comfort. As long as his moon necklace was intact, he knew that nothing bad had happened to Earth.
Then, as Luna studied the silver metal of the necklace, Earth’s symbol shining in the sunlight, it shattered like ice in his hands and Luna’s entire world stopped.
“MERCURYYYYY!!!!” He screamed, louder than he ever had before, as his core contracted with a mixture of emotional agony and fear.
Or; Earth hopes that it'll stay calm for once, after everything that's happened, especially with his earthlings giving him more than enough issues to deal with... but more lurks within the solar system, and revenge is a dish best served cold.

Charlie scoffs, “You won’t last five minutes.”

It’s stupid, Charlie thinks. A silly little challenge that’s only reserved for Pim, one he can always win and do at any time. He wonders when he became such a sap, leaning his head over to kiss Pim’s head. He can practically hear Pim smile, a satisfied little giggle showing itself on his arm. It’s sleepy, loving. 'Pacemaker must be working overtime,' he thinks.

He thinks she's gonna scrunch up her nose, gonna scoff and say 'You know better than me? Someone who grew up with him? Someone who loved him? What's wrong with you?' He doesn't wanna make anyone upset (and gosh, he hates being yelled at) but before his mind can go further into the depths of regret, she smiles.
