Summary
The Desert Rose Motel is remote and secluded, and the perfect place to take someone if you don't want to be found. The time that Mac spends there with Murdoc after being abducted off the street on an ordinary day is brutal and devastating. He is hurt worse than he would have thought possible, and by the time help arrives, he feels like a shattered shadow of himself.
The trauma and recovery that follows his violent ordeal is painful and difficult not only for Mac but for everyone around him trying to support him while handling their own feelings about what's happened. It's not easy and it's not without setbacks, but his family around him is determined to be there for him, and with their help, learning to live again isn't quite as impossible as it seems.

Summary
At the end of 4x05, Patrice abducts River at gunpoint. This time, they go to a remote, isolated manor where Frank is waiting for them. The slow horses do not see or hear from River again for almost five months. During that time, Frank does his level best to break River and rebuild him into a tool he can use, with Patrice as his assisting shadow. This… doesn’t really work. In fact, the process ends up breaking not River, but someone else.
Meanwhile, Slough House is on overdrive trying to find a missing colleague who the Park is all to quick to deem presumed dead and rubber-stamp his file as such. Louisa almost quits, and finds an odd solace in working alongside Lamb to try to bring their missing agent home. She is having a bad one - the maybe-loss of her best friend is tearing her apart.
It all comes to a head when Louisa follows a lead that she knows better than to follow. She is meant to be the last blow that destroys River's resolve. It doesn't shake out like that. By the time they're both rescued, it's a long road to recovery. But there is a road, and there's help along the way.

Summary
The scene around her changed before she could rip her blindfold off and Eleven sat up on her knees, looking at the portion of the Darkness that now held a patch of a wooden building and a dirt covered ground.
“I…” She took a deep breath. “Am okay.” She stood up on shaky legs, tilting her head in confusion as she took in the scene in front of her.
“There is a boy,” El whispered. “His clothes are…odd.”
“A boy?” Max repeated.
Eleven nodded, watching as the boy pushed himself up. His clothing sparkled in the streaks of light that came through, a mix of red, black, and gold that came together in a pattern she had never seen before.
“There is a spider on them.”
