“I'm worried… about Jax..” Pomni wrung her hands, pinching the ends of her gloves.
“Jax? Did he..? Did he threaten you?” Ragatha felt her heart drop, despite her talk with kinger she still couldn't help but blame herself for leaving Pomni with Jax, her hand wrapped the wooden arm of her rocking chair.
“What.? No! No no.. I'm worried for him, I mean..” she shuffled on ragatha's bed, “ I've never met someone before they abstracted but…” she could only make herself make eye contact for a second at a time before looking back at her hands, or the bed or anything else.

Pomni's been getting a bit closer to Jax lately. After all, he showed her he isn't just some impulsive freak, but a funny guy with who was just as real as her. What a great friendship!... Until...
Butterflies in her stomach, blushing cheeks, sweaty palms... oh no, not around him! And Ragatha's taking notice. She doesn't seem all too fond of how close Jax and Pomni are getting-- not even a little bit.
When Caine sends the entire circus cast on a fantasy inspired adventure to save the princess trapped in a tower, Pomni has to lead the adventure to make sure they complete it safe and sound! Also, hopefully without... emotional baggage...
Let's hope Pomni can keep her shit together long enough to lead everyone in this new whimsical adventure.

Jax blinked, panic spiking as he realized... this was not his room.
And when he finally found a mirror, even the insistent knocking at his door steadily growing into pounding couldn't distract him as he stared into Pomni's reflection.
And when he finally opened the door, only to be met with his own body staring down at him with a shell-shocked look of worry and concern. He stared and stared as his body stared /him/ down with an expression /his/ face was so foreign to, but his own mind recognized belonged to a certain jester.
Pomni, using Jax's body and voice whispered exactly what Jax was thinking.
"What the [BLOINK] is going on?"

Pomni is barely holding it together. The circus isn’t helping.
Between Caine’s increasingly ill-timed “adventures,” Gangle and Zooble’s very loud not-relationship, and Ragatha trying (and failing) to fix everything, the last thing Pomni needs is Jax acting… different.
He’s still annoying. Still insufferable. Still absolutely the worst.
But now he lingers. He notices things. He tries—badly.
And Pomni hates it.
Because it’s easier to deal with an asshole than someone who might actually care.
As tension builds, boundaries blur, and nobody says what they mean, something unstable starts forming between them—something sharp, messy, and impossible to ignore.
They were enemies.

Summary
Pomni "falls" in a lake made of stupid sauce on one of Caine's adventures. The problem with stupid sauce, is that no one has a filter on it. Another problem can arise when you suspect a mischievous rabbit to actually have nice tendencies, even when other people don't believe him. The biggest problem is that it can reveal animosities one has against the people who appear the nicest.
All Jax can do it watch while Pomni manages to embarrass him in front of everyone more than she embarrasses herself.

Denial, Jax remembers. He knows that one. It’s the first on the list, the one that clues people in that it’s developing grief in the first place. Not that he’s grieving. That was silly. And a straight up delusional take on his situation. He doesn’t grieve.
Cartoonish purple rabbits don’t grieve.
The dead can’t speak, the guilty don’t deserve to. Pomni has Thoughts™ and makes it Jax’s whole problem.
