As he began the slow trek over, beads of sweat formed on Steve’s brow; being a camp counselor might as well be a death sentence for his social standing and mental health. Summer was when people were supposed to relax and be free from their regular duties to society; only a psycho would choose to spend their summer watching over snot-nosed brats.
Alas, since his means of financial liberty had been stripped, it was all a swing and a miss for Steve’s original Summer plans of beer, babes, and beaches.
Or
Steve fails calculus and is forced to become a camp counselor in an effort to make back the money lost from his allowance. But maybe surrounding himself with the geeks and freaks isn’t as bad as he thought.

Summary
Steve Harrington came back to an empty house that night, as he was used to doing. But things were different now. Max Mayfield was in critical condition, and Eddie Munson was dead. At least, that's what he thought.
This fic starts right after the events with Vecna, starting that night and continuing into the two day time skip. This is a mirrored fic with @lethargicWaste 's fic "Feel Like I Am Human Again." This is Steve's pov, they are writing Eddie's pov. We intended for the reader to alternate between chapters while reading (for example, read my chapter one, then read their chapter one, and continue on like that. or vice versa.) This is not necessary, if you would prefer to wait and read all of one you totally can, but things will make more sense if you read both POVs the way we intended. Especially as this is Steve's POV, and Eddie's gives a lot of needed context into what he is.

Steve never forgot those words. Sure, he had pushed them to the back of his mind, but now, after seeing Eddie again, the words were at the forefront of his mind. Back then, in the trailer that they had hotwired, the words went straight to his groin. It made him practically have a panic attack.

Eddie Munson really thought that this had to be it. This was the icing on the cake. Nothing could ever be stranger than destroying flesh-eating demobats, burning their twisted supernatural master into the ground with Molotov's, fighting alongside a crazy group of nerdy teenagers and their badass older siblings, all whilst shredding on his beauty and ultimately saving the world from mass destruction.
That has to be the weirdest thing that's ever going to happen to him, right?
Wrong.
He was so wrong.
In actuality, what took the title as 'the most bizarre thing to ever happen to metalhead Eddie Munson' was the fact that he was now best friends with 'King' Steve Harrington.
But that's not really the weird part. The weird part is that Eddie can't stop imagining Steve Harrington's bronzed hands tangling in his own curly hair whilst he face-fucks him. Or Steve praising him sweetly as he's fucked in front of a mirror, able to imagine every detail as if it actually happened before.
So yeah. He has a bit of a problem.
