What if it never really ended? Things do come back. People do come back. You just need to get to the subway and see a familiar face to restore an attachment that might be healthy or healing or none of that. It may help you discover something, or it might have been better to keep it buried.

Klaus tries not to see problems, he aims for solutions.
So when he can see Five and Lila are suffering, all he wants to do is help.
Help fix Five and his unhealthy coping mechanisms for life. His constant harrassment at work by people all too keen to set him up with their son/daughter/niece/nephew. Get a solution for Lila and the way her parents are constantly on her back for not having her life together.
He has the *perfect* solution to fix all of their worries - it's amazing what you can do on the internet these days. And maybe it'll help fix some of the other things he's spotted along the way. Like the fact they gravitate towards each other whenever the get the chance. Or that they're both far more similar than either of them would like to admit. He knows it will work if they just give it a chance. Or if he gives them no other choice....

Summary
When Lila gave Five that little present for their seventh year of disappearance between timelines she had intended to also share something with him: her pregnancy.
When they end up facing the reality of their predicament Lila makes a choice, probably a cowardly one, that ends up with the whole family traveling to a place both she and Five know really well: the greenhouse.
Will they find another way to survive, or will they all eventually give up and accept their fate?
