Summary
When a fateful encounter reunites newly-widowed Bard with the stripper from his best friend's bachelorette party - also a single father - an impulse offer begins a decade of friendship neither would have anticipated. Summary
Ed knows he made a mistake allowing Jack to come aboard the Revenge, and only narrowly avoided making the even bigger mistake of leaving with Jack. Still he thinks the crew is way off to think Stede is going to be that upset about Jack being a dick -- Stede is the most confident, self-esteem-having person Ed knows! And he's going to prove it. Except when he goes to Stede's room to check on him, Stede is curled up in bed sobbing his eyes out all alone.
Well shit. No way is Ed going to let that stand.

While ducking out of a business party/networking event, Ed meets the most fascinating man he's ever encountered, only to shortly find out that Stede is facing down the horrific prospect of an arranged marriage with Benjamin Hornigold, Ed's abusive former boss. There has to be something Ed can do to get him out of it. (They can't make Stede get married if he's already married.)
