You've always had strange eyes. It's something that people often comment on or say to your face, "Your eyes are off." Yeah. You know.
And it's not the color or the shape or anything else specific that they can name, but you know what it is. It's not something they can see. It's what you can see, but they can't.
You can see ghosts.
Simple as that.
You see them as clear as the people walking in the streets and hear them as crisp as the songs you hear on the radio.
Ghosts, to you, are many things. They can be people who used to be alive, sure, but not always. Sometimes it's a tree that used to be in the park or someone's front yard. Sometimes a ghost is the sound of an extinct bird. A ghost can be a lot of things. A memory, a daydream, a secret. Grief, anger, guilt, resentment, joy, youth, nostalgia, love... But in your experience? Most times they're just what we want to see. Most times, a ghost is a wish. A wish that was never granted, and usually never will.
You see them as distinctively as the living.
Perhaps that's why you got into this situation in the first place.

He did. Rex absolutely did. Not only was it a way to save his life, but hopefully give the others some time to save citizens and get their shit together to take down these fucks once and for all. Slowly but surely, the rest of the Marks began to surround him minus Omni Mark, who stayed put in where he was but kept his head down, a small tint of red creeping on his pale face.
“Well, Rex,” gold Mark crept forward one last time, face inches from Rex’s, “can you really take all of us?”
Here goes nothing. Rex gulped.
“You fucking bet I can.”
“I see. Have at it boys.”
