    Summary

Stories about history and transmission of story in Middle-earth focussing on Bilbo Baggins in later life; his role as a scholar and Elf-friend after his adventure, and the writing that he did in Rivendell: 'Translations from the Elvish'; a work of great scholarship, compiled with the help of the Elves of Rivendell, which later passed to Elanor Gamgee and from there to Gondor. Some of the stories from the Silmarillion and the History of Middle-earth series are here re-told in a more hobbitish form.

This series has no overall arc and will probably never be marked complete. Each of the stories is designed to stand alone, and I endeavour to make them canon-compliant in so far as that is possible.

    Summary

Stories about the House of Fëanor, the House of Fingolfin, and Dior and Nimloth in the Halls of Mandos after their deaths.

This series connects with the Return to Aman series about Elrond and Maglor coming back to Valinor after the fall of Sauron, but does not require it.

    Summary

A series of stories about Elrond's return to Aman at the end of the Third Age. All these assume that Maglor son of Fëanor was one of the other unnamed Elves who accompanied Elrond, Galadriel, Gandalf, Frodo and Bilbo on the ship when they left Middle-earth. Point of view is usually either Maglor or Elrond, but occasionally someone else (Celebrian, Lalwen, Nerdanel...)

The first story, And the wind as sweet as honey in the mouth, is about Maglor and Elrond meeting again in the Second Age, rather than in Aman, but fits with the overall series otherwise.

This series is connected with the Mandos series, about the experiences of Feanor, Fingolfin, Fingon, Curufin and Celegorm in the Halls of Mandos, but it can stand alone.

All are welcome to remix, translate or reinterpret these works as they like. They are not my characters!

    Summary

"All his life, he would remember that moment: the silver bells of Hithlum greeting the rising sun, and then, as if in answer to the bells, voices raised in song, the voices of the Eldar, impossibly clear, impossibly beautiful. "

In which Hador Lórindol comes to Hithlum, swears fealty to Fingolfin, and follows his lord to the end. And doesn't regret a thing. (Well, maybe that one embarrassing misunderstanding about the Feanorians....)
