After a bitter argument with their vessel, Kris, the Angel decides to finally listen, and leave Kris alone. Unfortunately they stumble across the flower king darkworld first, and attempt to change the prophecy despite not knowing how it ends.

Summary
You feel a migraine coming on, but it’s fine.
After all, it’s not like ‘YOU’ feel it. The throbbing behind Kris’s temples and the prisms of dancing color in their vision don’t actually affect their walking speed, or their Dark World stats, or the brilliant white SAVE points scattered around like fallen stars. In terms of status ailments, it’s nothing more than one more line of flavor text in a full chorus of one-liners still echoing from last night’s encounter.
You feel your migraine getting worse, but it’s fine.
You feel your heartbeat pulsing at the edges of your skull with every noise echoing through the Dark Sanctuary, but it’s fine. (It has to be fine.)
You feel a migraine settling in deeper, but it’s fine, it’s fine, IT HAS TO BE FINE.
(Or: fic where Susie, Ralsei, and the SOUL notice Kris is not fine. A bit of early prodding sends the whole plan unraveling early, and Susie, Ralsei, and a disembodied SOUL are forced to improvise.)

Summary
Things are going terribly. Susie is furious, Ralsei is hopeless, and Kris is practically gone already. But when all hope is lost, two heroes appear at world's edge: Something neither Human nor Monster, and a Prince from the Light. Asriel and Chara, as inseparable as always. Together: they still aren't really sure what's going on but by golly, they're going to put a stop to it. Or possibly help with it. Doesn't matter. Operation: Save Kris (and maybe Dess) is a go.
Basically: the SOUL meets Asriel, and can talk to him! And we go on a wild adventure with our new vessel that actually wants to save everyone and not cause the Roaring.

THIS FIC IS ACTIVELY BEING WORKED ON.
"Your Soul Will Live On" is a Deltarune fanfic with a simple premise.
"What would actually happen if a real person was trapped within Deltarune?" with all of the philosophical, ethical, and weird science-y questions that come with it.
The story itself is both an adaptation of Deltarune's stories, themes, characters, locations, and more, into a different medium, but also an examination of what it would be like if the SOUL, who is already its own character in the story of Deltarune, was truly a real, thinking person, with their own thoughts and feelings and decisions, independent from what can be done within the game.

Summary
A short series of minifics posted on r/Fwahaha, mirrored here for posterity's sake.
The Week of The Roaring has passed but the Angel, having been gifted their original vessel, still yet walks amongst Hometown, able to observe the consequences of their choices upon nearly the entire vast decision tree of this layer. On this branch of reality, they had led Kris and Noelle down a forbidden path in an attempt to gift them power and freedom, but relented upon realizing the unfixable mistake they were about to make at the lake. Unfortunately, takes-backsies doesn't mean that nothing had come of it, and "the Angel" is extremely aware of the amount of grief they've inflicted with their actions.
Some time has passed, and some wounds are healing, but the vessel still sits with a heaviness in their soul; one they wish to make peace with, even if it means having to dredge up some ugly feelings again.Bookmarked by JesusD531
