One of the things Riyo thoroughly enjoys, enough to make time in her daily schedule for, is annoying Zanka. She does this through teasing him, going out of her way to say good morning or good night, striking up a conversation whenever they see each other, or maybe even initiating light touches. Or, for example, plotting to crash in his bedroom at HQ for the night.
And if she happens to impulsively include a wandering Rudo in the halls, then so be it.

Riyo drags Rudo with her to go crash in Zanka's room for the night. That's it.

He gets worked up, is what Jabber’s saying. Gets caught up in the things he likes—in the things they are, even if Zanka’s still too scared to say it yet—and forgets everything else. Like the fact that there are times where Zanka “isn’t in the mood” and “doesn’t want to fight”, when he’s “tired” and “still not healed yet” and blah blah blah blah blah.
That’s when the sappy shit comes in. And Jabber—he doesn’t hate it. He just doesn’t like it.

“You didn’t tell me you got hit on the head.” Cthoni fussed. She’d just finished washing and looking him over for any more serious injuries, but with how locked up his hair is at the scalp, it was pretty hard to tell if he had anything there on her own. She would have to rely on him to say something, but obviously she couldn’t.
“Yeahh, guess I just forgot, huh?” Jabber turned to face her with a smile, suddenly much more energetic. “But if I had told you, you wouldn’t have gone and dug your fingers into it.” He reached to keep messing with it, but Cthoni smacked his hand away.
“I don’t want you to hurt yourself.” She said without thinking, and Jabber’s face went soft.
Jabber and Cthoni bathe together. Cthoni works through her complicated feelings towards Jabber.

Rudo inhaled as though he were channeling an ancient spirit. The energy of every vital instrument he'd ever used returned to him for this one very moment. His eyes closed, and Amo was momentarily concerned about him.
“Rudo, are you-”
And then his face did… something. Amo was not sure what, exactly, the something was, but… it was something.
Despite Amo’s disdain for the blue eyed freak, it seemed this time Zanka had been right. Amo could not ever tell him. Maybe after teaching Rudo the perfect smile, Amo would pretend that Rudo’s smile never changed at all just to bother him.
Yes, an excellent idea.
