Eddie nudges Steve’s good arm gently and nods in Mike’s direction. “Hey, who’s the kid with baby Wheeler?” He has an idea about who it is, but wants confirmation. They missed out on a lot of introductions before the battle and on the mad dash to the hospital afterwards.
Steve lifts his head and looks over at where Eddie is gesturing. “Oh, that’s Will. Will Byers. Maybe you know his older brother, Jonathan?”
“Huh, so that’s the guy Wheeler never shuts up about during our campaigns. I was starting to think he was delusional until Henderson backed him up. They seem…close.”

Summary
Eddie is run out of Hawkins after Vecna's death. Steve gets dragged to a concert a year later and can't believe who he sees again.
The song was nearing its end and Steve felt all the breath leave his lungs as Eddie grabbed the mic in a way that was almost sinful, and god his voice was raw with use and the drums were what was making Steve’s heart beat too fast he was sure of it.
“Gonna make you love me! ‘Till the day you die.”
Steve didn’t like how he could feel the blood rushing to his cheeks when Eddie locked eyes with him, his feral dopey grin widening.

He could recognize Henderson’s voice anywhere, but he was too amped up to just let go. He held onto the body in front of him, eyes unseeing as he turned his head to the right. He spotted Dustin there, two girls behind him with the older one looking familiar-
Robin, Eddie recalled from band - french horn or something equally lame - and a redhead who had to be Max, the only age-appropriate girl in Hawkins who would even look in the boys’ direction.
“Listen, Eddie.” Dustin tried again, growing closer with each word. “I don’t know what the story is here," Dustin gestured between the two of them. "Like I am so incredibly lost,” Dustin glanced suspiciously at Steve, “But I’m asking you to trust me. Steve is my friend, you’re my friend, we’re here to help-”
“Harrington has only ever hurt me, Henderson.” Eddie laughed weakly, sniffling. Steve flinched, but Eddie didn’t notice in his worked-up state. “Leave this one to the grown-ups, buddy.”
Steve and Eddie met long before Reefer Rick's shed. Steve was Eddie's first kiss and he barely even remembers it. When Steve and the gang come to Eddie's rescue, their history together is revealed (psst, super gay).

Eddie Munson doesn't mind working at the Family Video Store. It's a nice sense of normalcy (not to mention money) and he gets to see Robin more because of it. However, between working together and sharing the same best friend, he's also been seeing a lot more of Steve Harrington.
He wants nothing more than to enjoy mindless fun with his friends now that everything with Vecna is over, but Eddie's finding it hard to move on from what happened. Even if the strangest thing in his life right now was simply the fact he and Steve Harrington might actually be friends.
