Every morning for the last twenty-eight days, Hermione settled into her office and braced herself for the influx of letters that would no doubt threaten to flood the small space. On the first day, bright red envelopes spewed all manner of hateful words and threats, but as the days passed, and the community at large realized that their howlers were being immediately destroyed, their grievances manifested themselves instead onto unassuming parchment letters. She could comprehend the words, the name and the meaning. She understood that his name being on the roster meant he was the starting Beater for England’s national team, but for whatever reason, when her eyes ran over the black ink, her brain could not articulate any emotions or reaction.
