In the months after an epic battle, Hawk Moth, Mayura, Ladybug and Cat Noir all disappeared from Paris. While the remnants of magic disappeared, the final battle left scars in its wakes. Hawk Moth was a man with means beyond magic and willing to use all his means to get want he wants. The non-magical weapons he used left a firestorm in Paris. Thousands of homes ruined and people scattered. Some never returned.
Marinette Dupain-Cheng never returned.
Adrien Agreste changed in the months since Marinette’s disappearance.Across the channel, a 14 years old teenage girl wakes up from an English hospital with gunshot wounds and spotty memories. With no money, no memories and poor English, she ends up on the street, where she meets legendary thief and grifter Sophie Devereaux.
Marinette joins a group of Robin Hood criminals aka the Leverage Team and learns how much good being a liar can be
Adrien looks for Marinette while learning to be a Guardian and scheming to be free of his father's control
