Summary
A couple years post-finale (but ignoring post-canon). Dave, Karkat, and Jade are roommates in the new world. Dave refuses to acknowledge the obvious feelings he and Karkat have shared for years, until finally he does. And then he has a panic attack.
"When Dave finally did look over Karkat was just staring at him, and he realized he’d probably said a lot more of that out loud than he’d meant to but neither of them were moving. His instincts screamed at him to backtrack, backpedal, run away, something like ‘haha just kidding I haven’t thought about kissing you obsessively for years I’m not gay’ but he was trying not to do that anymore, it was still so fucking hard to stop doing that.
"And then he thought about that thing Rose had said about troll teeth, and he thought ‘well wait a minute Karkat’s teeth are actually pretty blunt for a troll’ but, fuck, then he was looking at Karkat’s lips. And Karkat was looking at his."

"He holes up in his room, blocks the window so he can hear if Inej tries to sneak in. He doesn't want her to see, to think he's actually taking this seriously. It turns out the book can’t tell him more than Inej already had. Flowers grew in a person’s lungs, and eventually they grew too large and numerous they choked you to death from the inside out. They only stopped if the feelings were confessed. Absurd.
"He rewraps the book and shoves it in a coat pocket to lose later. The concept is ridiculous, implausible, and wouldn’t it be just like Kaz to get flowers mistaken for knives anyway? Beautiful and dangerous but in all the wrong ways. Something new broken inside of him."

Summary

Trained from a young age by respective mentors Tikki and Plagg, teenagers Ladybug and Black Cat are destined to one day lead their clan. Their first task? To rid their city of Akuma, a highly addicting mind-altering substance being fed into the populace by the mysterious man known only as Hawkmoth.
During the day Marinette Dupain-Cheng and Adrien Agreste keep up appearances as normal high school students, unaware of the fact that at night they work together to take down the opposing criminal element in their city.
