Summary
Thomas wasn’t even sure if he could walk through the rest of his section at the rate he was going, let alone run.
And, apparently, he wasn’t going to last as long as he initially thought that he was, because when he turned a sharp left, he slammed straight into a wall.
It was more like the wall rammed into him, really. Like one of the maze walls took the form of a goat, and headbutted him.
Not taking time to dwell on who exactly ran into who, Thomas let himself fall the rest of the way to the ground, not finding it in himself to even attempt to regain his footing. He landed in a heap on the mossy floor, pebbles digging into the hand that reflexively shot out to catch the tumbling form that was his body.
“Thomas?” A voice called, very unexpectedly.

Summary
After a few minutes of sitting there, regaining his bearings, and attempting to figure out how he was going to swing a whole four miles home, he considered asking Karen what to do. The only reason for him considering it, and not doing it just yet, was the fact that he’d probably throw up all over again if he got one whiff of the rancid smell in his mask.
He seriously needed a portable washer.
Peter pushed the dreaded idea of putting on the sweaty mask to the back of his mind, leaving it there just in case he decided that it was his only option.
He had his phone—and he had a solid… two—no, actually, one person. He had one person that he could call, at this very moment, who would be able to actually help him. All the others would only be useful for far-away emotional support.
It would have been five, but, unfortunately, most of the people he knows can’t climb walls, or fly to the top of buildings.
But, he did know one person that could fly.

Summary
Clint seemed to also be processing the fact that there wasn’t a single Peter, or Peter look alike, in sight. “Wait, wait—no, never mind. Sorry—I swore that was him.” He slightly murmured the last part, glancing back occasionally, as if the kid would randomly appear, and he wasn’t crazy.
“Do you—are you aware of what Peter looks like?” Natasha said, sounding more confused than ever. Her voice suddenly emerging from the hallway was a little bit terrifying, to be completely honest, but everybody was more focused on the conversation at hand.
In an attempt to defend himself, Clint threw his hands up. “Yes—of course I do, I just—at first glance—“
“At first glance, you thought the mummified man,” Tony retorted, pausing just to get his point across. “—Was Peter? We brought him here with appendicitis, not the newest flesh-eating disease.”

Summary
That was the first words Tony heard, when he answered an incoming call from Peter, at three o’clock in the morning.
It was the first night in a week or so, that Tony decided to sleep at a normal hour. One of the only times he hadn’t been awake to answer any late-night phone calls from someone, the call only going through because of the specific settings he had set for Peter—and that was when the kid decided he wanted to give him his once in a blue moon call?
For a moment, he didn’t know what to say—not that he ever knows what to say when it comes to him, honestly—but he settled on a very baffled, bewildered, and groggy, “What?”
“Unde’ a spell,” Peter repeated, another stream of words coming through the speakers, but a lot lower, and a lot more incoherent. He sounded like a congested baboon with a lisp.

Summary
Though being alone and not having to deal with the constant pampering he usually endured, and the medication that got shoved down his throat—he really didn’t feel like dragging himself off of the couch. His clothes were clinging to his clammy skin, making him shiver, and he was thirsty, like, severely thirsty. The dehydration certainly didn’t help his condition at all, and it sucked.
Peter ended up settling on a mug that was on a small table beside him, filled with what he hoped to be, water. Not that he knew what it tasted like when he drank it, he’s pretty sure he downed half of it in a single sip, not giving himself a chance to tell what it was.
It was liquid, so not a single part of him cared what it could’ve been.
He set the mug back down, it registering in his mind that it was the one that he had given to Tony a few months before. His fingers lingered on the handle.

Summary
On a hunch, Andrew feels Neil’s forehead with the back of his hand. “You’re sick.”
“I’m fine. Leave me alone.” Neil closes his eyes again, pulling the comforter over his head.
Andrew pulls it back down. “You have a fever.”
“It’s a cold.” Neil sits up slowly, painstakingly. “I just need some Tylenol and I’ll be good to go.”
(Spoiler alert: Neil is not fine.)

Summary
Neil hated the new mouth guards. They felt weird on his gums, they were ugly, and they lit up like the Fourth of July whenever someone ran into him a little too hard.
The damn things were Aaron’s idea, part of a movement towards head safety in contact sports. Waste of money and time, if you asked him. He’d played with a concussion before, hell, he’d driven in a high speed chase with a concussion before, and it’d been perfectly fine. But it was Aaron’s idea, which meant Kevin backed it up, which meant they all had shiny new mouth guards that flashed bright red for suspected head injuries. Fucking ridiculous.

Neil gets his shit rocked mid-game, and his boyfriend's brother gets to help, and no one is happy about that arrangement

Summary
Now, plunged in darkness, surrounded only by the towering silhouettes of trees that swayed indifferently, Garraty stopped in his tracks. There was a barren, endless road ahead of him. He was alone.
“Warning! Warning, 47! Third warning!”
Terror lurched from Garraty's chest to his throat as his feet began to move on their own, somehow more aware of the situation than he was.
Where was McVries? He needed McVries.
