Katsuki knew it didn’t mean anything - the nerd’s late awakening could’ve been triggered by any of their Alpha classmates - but that didn’t stop him from overthinking it. The strange evolutionary animal in his head was fixated, as if there was any significance to the fact that he had been nearby. As if that made Izuku his Omega somehow.
He scolded himself every time his mind made that slip-up, but it didn’t stop him from watching the nerd’s every movement - and after a while, Katsuki began to notice some things… changing.

"What the fuck are you two talking about? The damn nerd is standing right beside you!"During a battle, Midoriya gets hit by a villain whose quirk detaches his soul from his body. Stuck in a ghost-like state, the boy enters a race against time in order to save himself from permanently dying. Much to his luck - or lack of it -, the only person who can see and talk to him in this state is no one other than Kacchan.

Everyone’s reaction upon seeing young Izuku was either shock, panic, or worry. But Bakugo? Everyone in that room wondered why he looked like he was holding back tears.

He could see the remnants of a broken child, a kid who lost his father when he needed him most. A child betrayed by the system, betrayed by a city lacking a superhero—lacking Spider-man. Miles felt guilty that he was bit, that his dimension gained another hero when it wasn’t in need. Miles felt guilty that he caused all this pain.
Miles feels guilty. His other self reassures him.
Even though the worst was over, Spot defeated and a canon event disrupted without consequence, there was still that tension looming between them.
And to Gwen, holding that conversation felt harder than fighting a multidimensional villain.Gwen apologizes.

“I mean— sort of?” Pav said. “He’s in here all the time and he stops to chat at the register whenever he comes to check out. He’s a great guy. Definitely won't cause you any trouble, if that’s why you’re asking.”
To be honest, Miles didn’t really know why he was asking. Something about the guy just drew in Miles’ curiosity.
