    "MERLIN!"
    Merlins eyes burst open as strangled gasps leave his gaping mouth. His lungs burn for oxygen and a cold sweat settles on him from his body's struggle. Arthurs eyes are panicked and frantic searching merlin's as if he may disappear any minute.
    'Merlin you have to breathe.'
    A calloused hand is placed on his shaking chest, guiding his breathing in and out.
    'you're okay, i've got you'

    Tim doesn't like his medication. He feels really weird lately, and he's certain it's because of the blue pills. Yet every time he thinks too hard about it, his thoughts trail off until he can't remember what they were.

     

    "The pills are good for you, Timothy." His parents tell him. "Don't you remember how much you struggled before? How disobedient you were? Look at you now, you never argue or ask those obnoxious questions anymore."

     

    The worst part is, they're right. Tim doesn't argue or ask questions anymore. Mostly because half of the time when he goes to speak, his words have abandoned him before he even opens his mouth.

     

    (Tim's brain is super messed-up. Good thing his parents have medicine to help him.)

    (The Drakes don't appreciate that their son is extra intelligent in all the wrong ways, so naturally they start drugging him from age six and on.)
