Hi! This is my first work and to be honest I have no clue what I'm doing, but I've had this idea buzzing around my brain for a while and wanted to put it out there.
Essentially:
Korra is knight who has been training at the Knight Academy since she was young. Her main purpose is to train and one day serve the Princess Asami Sato. After Korra's display of skills Asami decides to make Korra her Head Knight. From there, the two women's relationship only grows stronger. Follow these two and the many adventures they face between war, assassins', and young love. I would also like to say that all characters are 18+ due to the content in the story. Also the rating is set to mature mostly due to future violent scenes, it may change, but I'm gonna keep it M just to be on the safe side.This will follow a similar timeline to TLoK as in the enemies will be generally the same, but they've been modified to fit the more medieval theme. I can't fully explain it without spoilers, so this is the best you're gonna get haha.

Asami was quiet for a moment and was pretty sure that Korra was already asleep. Still, then she asked her, "Have you seen the stars dancing in someone's eyes, Asami?" barely a whisper.
As her brain tried to think of something to answer the question, she heard a light snore coming from the girl beside her. Asami smiled and caressed her cheek. "Through your eyes, Korra.
Post battle with Zaheer where Asami takes care of Korra. When she leaves for the South Pole to heal and not come back, Asami looks for her.

The exaggerated—because they had to be—stories about her that floated throughout the cafeteria. The way everyone would immediately snap to attention in her presence. The way she could command a room, even if she was only breezing through it. To your co-workers, Asami Sato was an enigma not to be decoded, just viewed from a distance.

Summary
Avatar Korra dies young. Asami reflects on the years she shared with Korra in the wake of the metal poison and the toll it took on Korra's health.
It is not how she had imagined it, her life cut short violently and suddenly in a momentous battle. A hero’s death. Or old and warm, tucked away in bed surrounded by family and friends, their loving faces spanning multiple generations. A peaceful, earned death.
Instead, her death is an anti-climax, brought about by a fight she’d long put behind her. Except there was no moving past it, the consequences forever lingering, leeching strength from her muscles, eating away at the core of her bones, and sucking away the very air from her lungs.

Something is wrong. Korra can feel it from the moment she wakes up. It's not that she can't move her legs, or speak without slurring her words. It's the way every conversation feels rehearsed—like they all know what she's going to say before she says it, and she's the only one who never got to practice.
(Or: Author looks up mercury poisoning, realizes the venom of the Red Lotus is the most horrifying thing ever depicted on Nickelodeon.)

Summary
Asami is a princess from Galstonia who is set to marry Mako from Republia. The only thing is she’s sworn to never care for anyone ever again after her mother’s death. Not falling for Mako wouldn’t be a problem, but falling for someone else might be. Korra is Mako’s sister, who tends to the animals. Upon hearing of Asami’s arrival, Korra doesn’t expect much of her. In fact Korra already despises Asami. After all she knows the princess type really well. Only after their meeting does Korra realize Asami isn’t like other princess, she’s different. Korra doesn’t know what to do with that information, but soon enough she will.
